Because of the weather, we had to stay in the bay. However, our trip was great. We caught plenty of fish. Our two kids (10 and 8) loved every minute. Captain John and Nick were very helpful with the kids, including and instructing them at all times. I will be contacting them again in future trips.
Captain and crew were excellent. Waves were a little rough but they made the trip fun and enjoyable. They got us on the fish right away and it was none stop. This would be a good trip for a family or smaller group. Booking was easy and Captain John communicated well. safety was a top priority.

We enjoyed our early morning trip! Great crew and fun fishing! We caught red grouper, red snapper, trigger fish, a mahi, and lots of vermillon, we all hooked into a shark, but thankfully he broke off, bc if you have ever caught one, its a wild ride lol. We all 100% recommend and will book again.

This was our 3rd fishing charter of the year (not with these guys) and it was by far the best! Not only were Captain John and First Mate Nick very knowledgeable, they were so much fun to fish with! It was our first trip out in Florida and we both felt so comfortable with them, they were both so helpful. We had a blast just bait fishing, the bigger catches were just a bonus. It was an amazing day fishing with a great crew, the boat was phenominal (our favorite yet) and they landed us right on the fish. Best day of our vacation!! We already want to come back to fish with them again.

We scheduled a 4 hour afternoon trip with Capt John and Nick after taking our family out last year.ย This year we had two other couples we vacation with that have very little fishing experience.ย Capt John and Nick did an amazing job of getting us on fish and explaining how to get them in the boat.ย We first trolled a bit and caught Mahi and a Bonita then bottom fished and got Red Grouper, Red Snapper, a Cobia, Trigger fish,ย and King Mackrel.ย everybody had a great time.ย We would definitely recommend A Slice of Life to anyone interested in a offshore trip.ย We will be scheduling future trips with them for sure. We finished our trip at Stewbys, who prepared our catch and it was amazing.
