We had an incredible morning fishing with Shaughn. He responded quickly to all our messages prior to the trip, and met us at the pier on time with everything ready to go. He was able to navigate around the marina while giving us a full tour of the boat without wasting any of our time. Shaughn got us out to fishing territory very quickly and started putting rods in the water immediately. He was able to teach us many different ways to rig rods to target different species and explained what to look for with the current, tides, air pressure, and how to adjust for many different situations giving us a very thorough day on the water. We were able to drive the boat a bit, and got first hand experience with the charts and radar. Our group had requested to go as far out from shore as possible for a nice boat ride, and we asked to try different techniques to get a small taste of everything rather than simply trying to put numbers in the boat. Even with having to work around all our unusual requests Shaughn still managed to get hooked up with a fish that unfortunately came off just shy of the boat. We all still had an amazing time would definitely go with Shaughn again. I think kite fishing was my favorite part of the trip, but everything else was great too.

My family and I had an awesome day fishing with Captain Shaughn out of Pompano Beach! To start off both he and Holly (his first mate/fiancee :) were excellent with all communications and directions regarding our trip, meet up location, tips for dockside parking, etc. Our group consisted of myself,  my husband, our 2 teenage boys and my parents who are both in their 70s. The moment we stepped onto his beautiful boat we felt very welcomed and comfortable as he explained everything. The boat was very spacious and clean with plenty of shade, cooler space if you needed it and even a bathroom. We were all pretty inexperienced fishermen and Captain Shaughn was extremely patient and kind, taking time to explain everything and show us different techniques. He is very experienced,  knows the area well and tailored our trip to help us have the most success catching fish. We didn’t waste a minute, had lines in the water the entire time even traveling to and from our fishing location. We all caught a wide variety of fish and had a blast. He then kindly filleted our best catches at the end of the day and recommended some great local restaurants that would cook them for us. My kids were super proud they caught their own dinner and had a wonderful day sharing the experience with their grandparents.  Thank you Captain Shaughn for helping us make some great family memories, we hope to be back to fish with you again soon!

My son wanted to go fishing for his 11th birthday, we looked at many shared fishing boats, but decided on a private charter, and we are so glad we did,  Captain Shaughn was amazing from the moment we met him, he is so friendly and knowledgeable,  my son and daughter (8) loved every minute of the trip, my parents came along although they didn’t fish they enjoyed the views and the beautiful boat, the one on one attention Shaughn give was worth every penny, Captain Shaughn was just as excited to catch fish as we were, and we caught many, he also fillet the fish for us and we enjoyed a fish fry at home,  my son and daughter can’t wait to do it again, as long as Shaughn is the Captain, thanks for an unforgettable time.

Shaughn was an awesome Captain that made us feel welcome instantly. Super easy to find the boat, board, and get going. My kids (8, 10, & 12) enjoyed every second of it. My husband and I did, too. Shaughn is very knowledgeable and will do his best to get you on fish. We really enjoyed this charter. He made this a great experience for our family. When we return to this area for vacation again, I will definitely seek out Shaughn for another trip!

The trip and the crew were absolutely awesome!  Captain Shaughn and Joe put us on the fish really fast and we walked away with enough for a nice family fish fry! The boat was beautiful and we had plenty of room to move around. They were super knowledgeable and professional and we would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to catch some fish and enjoy a beautiful day on the water.
