Captain Doug is an awesome guy, never a dull moment on his boat! He put us on fish almost immediately, we caught 4 chinook in a short morning trip. He knows his stuff! This is a great trip for beginners or seasoned fisherman. Doug is the best captain in the area. If you plan on booking with him, don’t be afraid of rain or could weather, his boat has a great cab fhat keeps the wind and dain away! I definitely recommend booking with him for your next fishing trip.

Doug was a great guide and had us on the fish all day and he ever tossed a couple crab traps in the night before. While other boats around us weren’t too successful we were getting salmon steady. In the afternoon we went for Halibut and got two really quick. Only negative was Dougs son was bringing the Halibut in the boat and rather than gaffing or netting it he tried to lift it into the boat with his hands for some reason and it got away. Awesome trip, awesome guild, awesome area and would highly recommend… just wish the guide was at the back of the boat getting the Halibut where it should have been… in a cooler

Captain Doug was wonderful for our party of grandparents, children, and grandchildren. Everyone was able to catch and reel in a fish and we went home with a nice haul. Doug even went the extra mile to set out crab traps for us the night before to increase our chances of getting enough crabs to keep. I have gone on multiple fishing charters in the area and Salty Doug was THE BEST.
