The trip was action packed. We arrived early and met Milton. While we waited, we discussed what’s biting, what to expect, and shared fisherman stories of monster Marlin. As soon as the first mate Kyle arrived, we set sail.
Not even 15 minutes after our departure lines were in the water and we were fishing. Shortly thereafter, the reels started screaming. A dorado hit the bait and we were ready for action. I grabbed the seat and started to reel. Once I got slightly settled, bam the second reel started screaming as well. My wife stormed to the stern and gave it her best effort but the fish go off. I was able to land it on the boat with the help of Kyle. Shortly thereafter, we were back at it. Within another 30 minutes, Milton yelled to Kyle to grave the rod. He saw a sailfish going for the bait and set the hook. My wife took the fishing chair and was in for a 7.5 minute fight reeling in her first sailfish. We took plenty of photos and we were able to release it safely into the deep.
Afterwards, my wife and I were so happy with the action if it ended we would still be happy customers, but not so fast!!! Milton and the Teaser soon had the lines back in the water and within 25 minutes, we doubled up on dorado again. Both of them were able to get off the lines, which was a bit disappointing, but that’s why it’s called fishing not catching.
Right after the loss, I assumed it was going to be slow to non existent after, but boy were we in for a treat. 10-15 minutes later, on line started screaming! It was another sailfish. I took the fishing seat and began reeling, when another sailfish slammed another bait. The Milton and Kyle both sprang into action. They took all the other lines and attractors out of the water. We let me fish run, while we worked on my wife’s fish. It was incredible. My wife’s fish surfaced several times to show the pure beauty of the creature from the depths. I struggled to from losing the rod and reel through the process. One my wife’s fish surfaced near the boat, Kyle was able to unhook the fist and we focused on mine. It took what felt like an eternity (15 minutes or so) of fighting as it would dive deep and Milton chased the run. Finally with my forearms on fire it made it to the surface. A gorgeous fish that had a bit too much of a fight. Kyle and Milton were able to revive the fish and release it.
Afterwards, it was time for a nice long boat ride enjoying the waves and beauty of the sea with no additional bites. Would I return? Absolutely! Do I recommend the Teaser? You betcha!
