We booked with Captain Justin R and had a great time! His personality, knowledge of the area and interest in you having a great experience is unmatched. He took us out for scalloping, provided equipment and coolers which kept our need for lugging stuff simple. We found some scallops but once he noticed we weren’t finding any more, he relocated us to find a better spot (which we did). 🙂 Once scalloping was finished he took us to swim in the little springs nearby that was a popular spot for the locals. It was small but fresh cold water to clean off the saltwater felt amazing. Once we returned to the pier, he even shucked our scallops for us. Not something other captains have done previously for us so that was a nice bonus.
If you like a character with witty personality who cracks jokes, Justin is your guy. He was great!

This was our second time booking Captain Justin with Live Action. We did a morning half day fishing for redfish near the mangroves. We caught a lot of fish, hitting multiple bites in every spot. Limit was 2 redfish so we kept the two biggest - 26 and 23 inches! We also caught a random 18” trout which was awesome too. Captain Justin knows the spots and when and where to cast. His boat has enjoyed some stunning upgrades so the ride is comfortable and there’s plenty of room for up to 4 passengers. For just myself and my dad we were very comfortable. You really can’t go wrong with a trip with Live Action. You’ll laugh and enjoy the beautiful gulf scenery and get a real workout reeling in your catch! (Unless you catch a stingray, in which case don’t fight it, just cut the line lol 😂) Awesome trip and will definitely book again.

A friend of mine and I were in town for the weekend, and we knew we wanted to try to get some fishing in. Unsure where to start I remembered another friend of mine mentioned FishingBooker.com to me. So, after some cruising on the page along with some research on the Crystal River area I found Live Action Fishing Adventures with Captain Justin. His reviews were outstanding, and I can tell you this, he will do everything he can to make sure you have a great experience!

He was able to put us on redfish, grouper, and as well multiple chances at sharks! Even had some recommendations on how to prepare our Red Fish and it was delicious! Definitely an experience I’ll never forget, and if I’m ever in the Crystal River area again, I’ll be sure to look them up! It’s hard to beat a good day on the water, especially with good people!
