The Florida weather was a bit nasty but Capt.. Tony still managed to get us out fishing for the fish. He is very professional and knows where the fish are.
Thank you for fishing with us and the Singing Reel. We where so happy that with the weather we still had a chance to get you out and was able to put you on some great fish. We will see you in May.
Thank you for booking your shark trip with us and coming aboard. We are so happy that you indicated that you had a great time and we appreciated the great tip that you you left our mate. We are happy you had a awesome night reeling in about 20 plus sharks. We are so lucky that we are located in the area by the bridge that we didnโt have to ride 30 min or more to find them. We could get you fishing right away! And that we did! Thank you, Capt Tony
Or trip was supposed to be on Friday July 5th for 3/4 day for tuna ans Dolphin. The captain called Friday at 5:30 am and canceled because he was sick so we rescheduled for Saturday the 6th. I touched base with him Friday night just to make sure were a go and he said yes. He also started talking about snapper fishing which isnโt what we originally spoke about. We arrived Saturday and he went out to the ledge or drop off which isnโt that far out and anchored. The mate than proceeded to get us set up to fish for Snapper with only 1 line in the water and 5 guest in the boat of which 4 were ready to fish. This went on for 2 1/2 hours and we pulled in 5 snapper with 1 line in the water rotating who was up. When I asked about putting more lines in the water they said it will spook the snapper. The seas ended up too ruff so we called it and made it a 1/2 day trip. They was never any intention of taking us on the originally planned trip to fish for tuna and Dolphin. We have been on many fishing charters over the years and this by far was the most disappointing trip I have been on.

We are sorry that you felt your trip was not what you expected. You an your family where so very sick during your trip that we told you we can call it a half day instead of a 3/4 if your family remained sick. The seas on the reef 4-6 ft and off shore would have been 6-8ft. On a 3/4 and full day we discussed stopping for bait, the reef for some yellowtail and then off shore for Mahi and Tuna. After discussing changing it to a 1/2 day we where not going off shore for two reasons one 1/2 there is not enough time to go off shore and you where all to sick and it was to ruff for your sea sick children. We allowed you change your charter and reduced our price for the day. As far as fishing one line at a time. These fish are line shy and you can only fish one line at a time or you will spook them and they will not bite at all. Also you where hooking fish the entire time but the sharks kept eating them off the hook. The reason we had to change your date was our dog died the eveing early morning of the 4th and we where to distrought. I would also like to say that we reduced the price of our charter to a half day for you something other charters do no do. If your family was not so sick we could have gone off shore. We cant control the waves or sea sickenss. And cant keep children out that are that sick. Everyone had a great time lauging and fishing even though the kids where so sick. You told us before you left what a great time you had. If you didnt you should have said something before you left.

The tour consists of a two minute ride to less than 100 meters from the marina. The crew proceeded to throw a ton of fish to the water, obviously fish came by but the chances of them getting hooked is close to none with so much fish for them to eat. This was more an aquarium trip than a fishing trip. And forget about the promised and advertised A/C. The A/C is as cold as the engine of a truck. If you want to catch nothing, and burn in heat, this is the trip for you.
About your fishing trip not tour. We are sorry that you wanted to pay for the less expensive shark trip and then try to get us to take you offshore when you got there with complaints that we werenโt going offshore to catch fish for a trip that is clearly **hidden content** more. The description of the trip you chose is clearly written. We fish this area 200 days a year and always catch giant sharks, Tarpon and more in the same manner we did with you. We are professional fishermen and know how to attract the fish. We usually reel in between 5-15 a night. We canโt make them bite all the time there are different variables to why they might and might not bite. It might have been that there was to much holiday boat traffic and commotion. Fish react to the weather, moon and their environment. You did reel in a nice barracuda.. Sorry the air conditioning kept shutting off the intake probably got clogged with sea grass. It worked all day long and is working today. We havenโt had that problem things do break unexpectedly. We canโt alway control Mechanics. We tried our best to put you on some giant sharks just as we always do. Throwing chum in the water is the way to bring them to the area as well as chuck bait. As you can see we are consistent with our 5 star reviews and in no way deserve the review you gave us. I really just think the review you gave us was because we wouldnโt take you offshore at 300pm after a full day of fishing prior. Because that was you initial complaint as soon as you got there. Sorry you picked the the inexpensive trip and wanted the more expensive trip and questioned what is the difference.. But you canโt put that on us. Capt Tony

Tarpon/Shark was ok. 100 yards from the dock fishing with carcasses of cleaned fish wasnโt really what I expected, but hooked a couple of shark. The mate wanted to try balloons but captain refused. The day trip was very disappointing. We had been out 2 days earlier on a different boat and had some success fishing weed patches that birds were diving on. This captain seemed to only want to troll. When we did find a weed patch he ran by it too fast for the mate to get more than 1 cast in. Mate was great. He placed bait right on edge of weeds. I could tell he was frustrated as well.

We thank you for booking with us weโre sorry that you felt that your trip was unsuccessful. However we did put you on some very large sharks that evening and thatโs where the sharks & Tarpon hang out under the bridges. You wanted a Shark fishing trip not a crusing trip. Why would we go any other place but where we know they always are. The ballons that you are talking about can spook the fish and attract unwanted fish. So I as the Captain decided not to use them. As far as the offshore we did everything we could to find the Mahi for you finding weed lines, chasing birds, pitching live bait, and trolling lures to target deeper larger fish. As you saw when we got back to the Dock that all of the Captains had a tuff time catching fish that day and some had nothing to show. I have been Fishing here all my life I know where and how to fish the Keys. I am unable however to control mother nature and make the fish bite. We did catch some fish that day while other came back emptie handed. As far as our mate being frustrated we both tried very hard to do everything to put you on fish and it is frustrating to find what is working that day and what is not.
