We were three fishermen, including a 10 y/o.  Our scheduled day went out and the sea was really rough.  I was the only one that got sick, but the others just weren’t having a good time because it was pretty impossible to stay positioned and fish.  Captain Troy and 1st mate Dakota were committed to us having a good experience, so after about 45 mins they offered to head in and take us back out two days later when there was a much more favorable forecast.  Our second attempt went off without a hitch. We caught tons of fish, several keepers, the highlight was getting to reel on a Wahoo as we were trolling back to the harbor.  Reel Chill was current leader on Wahoo catches for the season, and we added one to their number.  High recommendation. Great boat, patient and very knowledgeable crew. Very committed to give us the best experience possible with the conditions that existed.  We’ll be returning.

First, I must say Thank You to Captain Troy, Captain Suzanne and First Mate Dakota from my heart for making a wish become a treasured memory. We wanted to share our love of offshore fishing with our Grandson. Mission accomplished: He loved it!  The first strike he was up and on it. He landed a 34+ pound Wahoo. He spent most of the rest of the day fishing. He did score an introduction to the tower as well as the engine room. We Had a wonderful day offshore fishing surrounded by a very professional and caring crew. I recommend and encourage anyone who wants a worry-free day fishing doing a charter with Captain Troy, Captain Suzanne and first mate Dakota. Capt. Troy and his mate Dakota were both very personable and made us feel very comfortable aboard the Reel Chill.  Our first deep sea fishing trip went off without a hitch.  Even at this early date and colder water temps. Capt. Troy put us on fish.  We caught different species of fish and Dakota identified them all for us.  The Red Grouper we caught went to Brotulas Seafood House and they prepared it 3 different ways for our dinner later that evening.  My wife was apprehensive about the trip but now she can’t wait for our next one aboard the Reel Chill.  Capt. Troy runs a 1rst rate operation and I highly recommend them to 1rst timers or experienced fishermen.

Five of us spent the afternoon shark fishing with Captain Troy and First Mate Dakota. What an experience! They had us on sharks immediately, we hooked up with 12 and landed 7 in a four hour trip…what an amazing, memorable experience. The boat is amazing but Troy and Dakota deserve all the praise. Great fun to be with, extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to ensuring you have a great trip. Will definitely be in their boat again. Thanks Reel Chill!
