His boat is a luxurious 52' Hatteras convertible sportfishing boat. Restored in 2013, she features all modern amenities, so your comfort is ensured. leather couches, a 46-inch TV, as well as 3 air conditioners and a full kitchen with an ice maker. You'll want for nothing when aboard, so come and live the high life.
She's also a serious sportfishing vessel, featuring a GPS, radar, VHF radio, and a fishfinder to locate the best fishing spots full of fish waiting to bite, so you won't waste a second. Shawn, Susan, and Captain Troy were a great crew. The boat was very well maintained. The boat even has a device to reduce rocking so if you are prone to motion sickness this is the boat for you. The crew explained everything we were going to do and executed their plan. They put us on fish everywhere we went. We even hooked a 200 lb bull shark that we brought close to the boat for photos before Shawn cut the line loose just inches from the shark's mouth to ensure the line didn't get into the shark's gills. towards the end of the trip we landed a Wahoo. Great trip, awesome crew, and a great boat. I would recommend to anyone wanting to experience fishing in the Gulf of America.
We enjoyed a fantastic 10 hour day of fishing with Capt. Troy and his crew. Crew PJ and Capt.'s wife Suzanne, HUSTLED to keep everyone's line baited and in the water, there was no slow motion on their parts. Captain moved the boat many times to keep us on the fish. If there was no bite in 5 minutes, were moved on. The boat is VERY clean and well equipped. Everyone knew what they were doing and what needed to be done. On top of that, Captain and crew were very personable and fun to talk to. We will DEFINITELY fish with them again. I highly recommend Reel Chill for anyone looking for a great day of fishing.

Captain Troy And First Mate Shaun are far above their competitors with the knowledge and experience of Destin fishing charters. Their fishing equipment is top of the line. Captain Troy knows every inch of the Golf of America and First Mate Shaun knows everything about catching fish. You get the best of trolling, and bottom fishing all in one. This was our first fishing excursion, and I researched all the charters in Destin for two days before I picked Reel Chill Fishing. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
We go on multiple charters every year and Reel Chill with Capt. Troy and deckhand Shawn has not only exceeded expectations, it is by far our best experience fishing! no Captain and crew have been more accommodating and just as eager and excited to catch fiah as Reel Chill. They went above and beyond and even worked us in for a second charter on our limited time frame. We had the absolute best time and memories that will last a life time!! Truly the best experience! Side Note: The boat is exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Perfect for all ages and level of experience.
Our family had an AWESOME time on the Reel Chill with Captain Troy and "Dr. Shawn"! Our 6 year old daughter fell and scrapped her knee in the parking lot on the way to the boat and when we got on the boat Shawn cleaned and bandaged her knee right away. The water was calm and the sun was out, and Captain Troy got us on Snapper right away. We couldn't keep the poles in the water, as they were biting as soon as we got our bait to the bottom. Shawn cleaned all our fish right away when we got back, and we took them to a local restaurant to eat right away for lunch. It was a GREAT experience for our whole family, and we will definitely be coming back to fish with Troy and Shawn again!
