The Captain and Crew have their act together. Very efficient and accommodating. The entire day, where everyone else put up zeros, had us scrambling to get on the fish. The crew always had a plan and never gave up. Got to try a lot of methods and everything remained upbeat. Thanks for a great day!

We enjoyed this trip to the fullest. My daughter has already informed me that we have to come back and fish again and she told me to make sure we go with the same people.  I agree with her. We will be back and it it will be with True Grit. They worked hard and put in great effort to find the fish. Once they found them they immediately went to work and made sure we had fish on every hook. Thanks for giving us plenty of memories, fish, and fun.

Took my brother and nephew out fishing today with Captain Ry, and Ben, on his 34’ SeeVeeZ.  Great boat - clean and set up for fishing.  Weather was a little breezy and bumpy but they worked hard to get us on fish and we had a great time.  My nephew was beside himself.  We may have created a lifelong fisherman out of that little man.  We caught some nice barracuda and a nice 15# kingfish on the troll, then switched to the kite, which was a little tough due to the wind.  We ended up making skipjack poke, sierra ceviche and grilled kingfish for dinner - all delicious.  Captain Ry was easygoing and hardworking, and free with information, answering the barrage of questions I had all day. And Ben was great coaching my nephew into his biggest fish ever.  We highly recommend this team for future outings.  They were knowledgeable, fun, hardworking and a pleasure to fish with.

Had a great experience fishing with Captain Ry and Ben. They are very easy going and really well prepared. They worked hard to keep us on fish all day and didn’t waste any time on our full day trip. We definitely got our money’s worth Captain! Captain Ry is very knowledgeable about the waters and Ben was really helpful and enthusiastic whenever we had a catch. The boat was immaculate and they kept everything clean and organized the entire time. We walked away with a great wahoo, lots of red snapper, and some black fin tuna… a really awesome day! We’d highly recommend True Grit to anyone, this was the best fishing trip we’ve had! Already planning a return trip soon.

Even though it was more difficult due to the large amounts of recent rain we had a blast. This was a bucket list trip for my dad who is going blind. We saw sea turtles, flying fish, temporarily wrestled with a hammer head shark, saw a sail fish cleaning its gills of parasites by jumping out of the water (taunting us a bit), hooked barracuda and Mahi Mahi. We did bring in the king mackerel which is quite delicious when prepped with sake and salt to draw out the oils, then broiled. Sooo good! We had a great time out on the water, learning a lot about fishing. The captain and crew were super helpful and shared lots of knowledge.  The rain got us at the end of the day and cut our trip a little short due to being safe with lightning.  I would highly recommend True Grit to anyone looking to go out on a worthwhile trip with a trustworthy crew. Definitely gonna do this again, as I will continue to chase the sail fish and maybe a sword fish. Tons of fun!
