Very poor experience with this birthday trip!.. one and only worst and I have done lots of fishing at 74 yrs.old been around and bouncing on a few ocean!
First thing first, not pick up as suggested or miss represented or misunderstood?.. had to walk down the street with bags and all, go thru a private parking lotโto a private boat ramp and climb into the boat. 2.ย Next: It was not a 23ft contender boat as advertise, far from it, butโ-a beat up 20footer with no room up front (cooler and bag taking the whole front end) very uncomfortable dilapidated seat cushion etcโฆnot properly clean up etc.. probably should of back off right then! especially after the guy pull the cover off to check something? anticipation is a killer ... 3. next: Finally when asked if I wanted live bait ( better fishing chances) I knew that- ask -how many no real answer from the Captโฆ.went for 2 dozen $ 60.00..huhu live pilchard.. big waste of money. ( never got a hit and barely used them for me anyway) 4.ย next: right out not so comfortable on a 20ft bouncing on 4-5 waves but manageable - Iโve seen worse and since I love the seas why not itโs my BD!ย but it did rattle a few of my vertebraeโs.. Iโm good and strangely I liked the Captโฆ.name ? from Miramar, his dad coming over from Puerto Rico for his wifeโs birth of a son, nice and very decent individual in my book. 5.ย next:ย I am hitching to reel in a fish, we troll and troll only two outboard lines with single lures and one mini type in the center.. normally 2 outriggers to keep lines from tangling( yes it tangles ) so far no hits- found weeds.. no hits.. stay too short not really working it out for Mahies.. 4. next: went out to the deep deep for rosies -never heard of themโwhy not.. not a single strike yet.. problem: itโs hands off and all electrical catch yack!ย 6 fishes 1/2 pound or so. 5:ย next: 4-5 hrs gone starting to feelโnot a good day and tried inshore etc not a single for me $ 460.00 later and sweat includedโฆ wowww could not believe,ย still donโtโa ride in a lousy boat on a fairly rough ocean but it is the first time I have charter an open fisherman boatโfolks do ck. the Capt. and boat matching their advertising. He could of giving me a cutโnoneโฆ ..last for me : I did like the guy driving the boat and I do believe in the old saying : a lousy day of fishing is better than a good day at work!!!.. Beware!

Guy, Iโm very sorry you didnโt enjoy your trip and sorry to hear this. Hope it didnโt ruin your birthday. Like I previously said I had a last minute family emergency come up. If I would of canceled your trip last minite, you never would have a got booked anywhere else. I was looking out for your best interest as far as getting you out there on the water, so i asked captain Luis who is a very reputable fisherman to the fishing community to do me a favor and take you out and you did catch fish. I cant help or have control over 4 to 5 foot seas or slow fishing. You mentioned that I have a 23 Contender itโs actually a 28 Contender that is listed. I donโt think itโs fair that your slandering fishing booker or my charter business off a slow day of fishing, if you would of caught 20 mahi or a 40lb Wahoo your review would have been alot different. I wish when you had second doubts about capt Luis or his vessel when you 1st met up with him that you would have declined at that moment. Once again I apologize and feel very bad that it was your worst trip ever and wish I could make It up to you. I have alot of satisfied returning clientโs that have had great experiences weather fishing was great or slow and thatโs what we strive for on ever trip. Tight Lines ย Capt Rick Schlee

Captain Rick ran out of bait because morning trip used too much.ย No excuse
We value your business however we caught around 10 mahi 5 keeper size and 3 barracudas and got into 2 schools of mahi in less then 3 hours and we never ran out of bait on your 5 hour trip that is false. Do you remember me putting on fresh bait at the end of trip to troll past the wood pallet I found floating??? Sorry you had such a terrible time. The ladys on your trip said they had a blast and thanks for the $100 tip. I put you on fish and thatโs all that matters and you left with dinner for 2 occasions. This โnot recommended usโ is a 1st for such an awesome trip and definitely not fair for the work that I put in!
