Robbie took us up the bay to find some trophy stripers and we were able to catch our personal best striped bass! Robbie is very knowledgeable about fishing this area and also very friendly. Will be booking with him again when we come back to town.

Robbie is a great Captain and knows where the fish are. We came down in early April and fished the inlet. With the first cast we caught our first of many puppy drum. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend you book with Robbie.

Captain Robbie was on-time and prepared for our trip. He had a mate (TJ) with him to assist. TJ was very personable, understood the service industry, and how to deliver on that service. He was upbeat, positive, simply just fun to fish with. Captain Robbie was also very personable and asked our names and used them throughout the trip - a nice personal touch considering some charters I’ve been on the captain doesn’t even speak to you. O.K - The fishing - Robbie and TJ made a last-minute change to run out to the Chesapeake Bay entry marker and fish for Spade Fish. It was a long ride but paid off as we caught many large Spades, 27 or so in total (10 fish 19” or larger); we were catch and release fishing and basically only kept ones that were hook too deep to live upon release (8 in total here). The fish stopped biting around 1pm – we decided to leave and “fish” for cobia/redfish. This is sight fishing, but the conditions were anything but conducive. Basically, this was just a long slow boat ride back to the dock. We did not wet a line after we left the entry marker. Once we were in front of Lynnhaven inlet at 3:00 it was clear nothing was going to happen, wind, current, clouds, etc.  so I said lets just go in. The conditions are obviously not the captain’s fault. Overall, this was a great trip and I highly recommend Captain Robbie. He clearly understands the waters, the fish, and how to handle his boat expertly. You should have no hesitations to book with Captain Robbie – I certainly will be again in the future.

We had a great time on the water this past weekend. Captain Robbie worked real hard to insure we were able to catch fish. When other boats weren’t doing much we were because of Captain Robbie’s determination and experience. The first mate (Caleb) was friendly, helpful and at the age of 18 very experienced and knowledgeable on the water. Things were slow that day but we came home with enough fish for all of us.
