Day started off quite slow but certainly didn’t end that way. CAPT Robbie and his mate briefly mentioned that mornings had been slow following Hurricane Dorian coming through a week or so ago and that turned out to be the case. With that being said, Robbie beat the bushes of his network until we got on some big cobia and pretty much covered every inch of the ocean just off shore of Virginia Beach and Sandbridge to put us on the meat. One of the things that impressed me most was his working with the other boat captains in the area who were having an equally tough day to make sure every angler on the water had a chance to get on the bite. Furthermore, I was happy to see that even though we had our limits we kept fishing and when we did boat another big cobia they took every precaution to make sure the fish was returned to the water in a safe manner to make sure the stocks remained healthy. If you are looking for a boat and a crew who will keep working to get you on the fish look no further.

Our group had an awesome 6 hour day of fishing with Captain Robbie Bryan and deck hand Kenny. We were able to bring back a good haul of fish from an unpredictable Atlantic Ocean, with an extraordinary fishing experience.

We were able to book and pay online which made the process a breeze.

Robbie will look out for you the whole trip - like when other fishermen try to cross your lines while your fishing. Kenny was exceptionally helpful and ensured that the boat was clean at all times.

Robbie and Kenny are willing to go the extra mile to guide newbies who are still learning the ins and outs of fishing. We brought bananas on board (which are bad luck) and Robbie was chill about it vice other Captains who would likely not let them aboard.

If your looking to go out and have a good time. You would highly benefit from having an experienced full-time captain who has been fishing in the waters for years. Robbie is privy to the best and sometimes secret fishing spots that yield great catches.

Robbie’s experience also gives the ability to predict the waters, understand the fish behavior, and instinctively know the best fishing techniques that work on the targeted fish and current conditions.

Robbie met my son and I at the dock where we discussed our expectations for the trip. It began a little slow, so we decided to go try to catch a few Cobia. Not much happening there, but we did get a couple. Robbie wanted to get us on some fish, so we searched for a while and finally came upon a school of red drum. We were catching fish instantly, sometimes with three lines running at the same time. We caught fish until we were exhausted. The second day, we left out for some Spanish Mackerel and were in the thick of things almost immediately. From there, we went for Cobia again, and it wasn’t long before we got our first one. Overall, we got seven on the boat, with two being keepers. Robbie and Kyle kept us in the water and went out of their way to make sure our goals were met. My priority was for my son to have a great experience and catch some good fish. To say he did this is an understatement. Not sure when I’ll get the chance to do this again, but I will definitely try to hook up with Robbie and Kyle again.

My review of Robbie begins well before the date of our trip. I was originally scheduled to go out at the beginning of March. Robbie reached out and was dead honest that there was not much biting and it would not be a great trip. We worked everything out to reschedule to beginning of April. As the rescheduled day arrived the weather had shifted (for the worse) and we still tried to go out. We made it barely out of the harbor and the fog and waves were not a good combination. Again, Robbie made and honest and respectable call to cancel that trip in favor of a better day. We rescheduled for a week later we were able to actually get out on the water and get some good fishing in. Robbie definitely put us on fish at a few spots and we had a great time. Caught around 30 fish with keeping around 12 good size.
At the end of the trip the post catch services by the mate (Kenny) in regards to fish processing (cleaning and filleting) was done very well.
Overall a great trip and I am looking forward to my next trip in a couple weeks.

Kids had a great time for their first fishing adventure. Highly recommend if you want a relaxing and fun time.
