Booked โMarlin My Darlinโ with Captain Chris and his crew. They were AMAZING! We enjoyed every moment thanks to their professionalism, knowledge and sense of humor! Thank you guys. I highly recommend you to anyone.
I understand what fishing is, you have good days and bad. But growing up in Miami, plenty of deep sea fishing experiences I have to say that Marlin my Darlin was the worse experience ever. First of all was looking forward to meeting captain Rick but ended up taking the charter with two of his mates hoe and Kenny. We were suppose to leave the dock at 7am and 7:20 joe was talking about making sure we gave a generous tip. Second once we left the dock we mustโve been going wake zone speed the rest of the day. I might have seen a kayak pass us in the morning as for small boats, fishing boats, similar boats, and pontoon boats. One ballyhoo on one line and thin slices of something else on the other four. Once they put bait on that was it, no more bait. There were options because I looked in the live well but they Didnโt try. They were definitely trying to catch something on the lowest budget possible, no sardines. Weโre you could get a dozen for about 20 bucks. We would of gladly paid. There was no free line fishing, everything was trolling which me after a couple of hours of not catching anything would have tried to change the technique. About three quarters of the day fishing we finally caught a tuna that was about 8in and joe made us keep the reel in the socket. So we basically just cranked a minnow in. He hyped it up made us keep it where I probably would have used it as bait.ย About 30 min left of fishing the decided to fish off the inlet by the dock for some last minute fishing and we caught a small barracuda. Maybe two feet long. Honestly I would have preferred to spend $100 on sardines walk out to the inlet and celebrate my best friends birthday like that.ย Never again will I ever contact marlin my darlin or ever recommend them to anyone. Thanks for taking $975 plus a 20% gratuity for a boat ride.
