Captain Devin and Spencer were awesome guides and we had a great day - we had 3 kids and 3 adults and were able to find ribbons, spanish mackerel, false albacore, and, the highlight of the trip, an Atlantic sharp-nose.  The boat was clean and well maintained.  Will definitely book again the next time we are in OBX.

We booked a 4 hour trip the day before in hopes to get a good fishing trip in during our stay in Nags Head. We had a great experience with Devan and Spencer. My wife and I took our 18 year old and eleven year old. Caught tons of fish. It was a great day. I can’t wait to be back in the area for a future trip with these guys.

Once again our fishing experience with Capt Devin and Spencer was filled with an afternoon of non-stop action!  We have had multiple bookings with the Poacher and each year we are never disappointed.  On this nearshore booking we reeled in about 10 Sharpnose sharks and 20 Spanish Mackerel!  We cannot wait to book for 2025!

We had a wonderful experience Memorial Day with Poacher sport fishing.  The Black Sea bass were biting like crazy and everyone caught plenty, and we also caught some Spanish mackerel and a blue fish.  While I didn’t quite have my sea legs, the crew was accommodating and helpful with making me as comfortable as can be while the rest of our crew was fishing.  The captain and his mate were creat with the kids (14, 13, and 10) and really helped make this an experience of a lifetime for us.

I cannot say enough about how much of a fun experience this was for me and the other members of my party. We had an absolute blast. Captain Devin and first mate Spencer made everything easy for us to jump in and catch fish. I will definitely be looking to book again with these guys the next time I’m down.
