Poacher Sportfishing specializes in inshore and near shore fishing trips on the ocean and inlet waters on the Outer Banks Of NC.  All trips are ocean side and from my dock is the shortest boat ride to the ocean fishing grounds.  Capt Devin guided a crew to the STATE RECORD striped bass in 2011 tipping the scales at 64lbs and still holds the record today. All of our trips are planned for ocean side fishing and your NC fishing license is covered for free on the boat.

Captain Devin has been fishing his whole life and has been a licensed Capt for 41 years and has been running charters out of Oregon inlet on his boat Poacher for the past 33 seasons . A well seasoned veteran having fished professionally in Africa,Mexico,,Costa Rica,,Bahamas,Virgin Islands Panama and South FL. But grew up fishing as a deckhand here at Oregon Inlet in Nags Head andknows how to put you on fish. He and his first mate will welcome you aboard his 42’ Bruno boat made for ocean sport fishing. Up to six anglers can come along comfortably and in summer months, it’s ideal for kids.

We offer 4 hour, 6 hour and All-Day trips to fit your need .The boat is equipped with a flybridge, cabin, BATHROOM WITH DOOR tuna tower sunshade 4 chairs and all required safety equipment ,a live bait well, and an ice box for your catch.

We fish in the ocean along the beaches and sounds up to 20 miles out depending on half days or allday trips. You could encounter cobia,spanish mackerel false albacores bluefish red drum sharks sea bass triggerfish and more.

While fishing you may troll, drift, cast, bottom fish,we are equipped for whatever it takes. The boat is loaded with a full range of fishing equipment. Families will have a great time catching a variety of species, and can store their catch in the ice box, and later have a tasty family The first mate will help out so that you have an enjoyable day on the water. Bring sunscreen,  a camera, take some snacks and drinks, alcohol iis not a problem to bring along.
