We really enjoyed our fishing trip, Capt Devin was super communicating with us before our trip, and we were well looked after on board, we had an awesome experience.
We had a great trip, even though we didnโt get all the way out to the wrecks with the swells.ย Caught 4 large cobia and 60 Spanish mackerel.ย Great time!ย Highly recommend!
Long story short. Glorified boat ride. Mate had lines in the water for 15 minutes then we moved to another spot. We fished that spot for 25 minutes and caught a catfish. Davin immediately has Mate pull up lines and head back to shore.ย We arrive back to shore at 10:10. I asked I thought the trip was from 7:00 to 11:00am as I booked. Nope itโs 6:30 to 10:30 we werenโt catching anything so trip was cut short. It was obvious he had other plans he needed to be at. We did take care Mate Spencer as he was our contact person. Very disappointed that Captain Davin had no interaction with the fishing crew at all. He stands up to his name Poacher doing illegal things.
Crew of five would not recommend Captain Davin!

My side of the story.. I took Mike back to where we limited out the day before but nothing but bait and birds, after 30 minutes tells me we need to move.ย Ran 10 miles round trip out of desperation trying to catch something at 20 more gallons at 4.00$ a gallon. Which is my job I had to try something Once there 30 minutes of soaking bait 1 bite.ย You have to move you canโt just set there.ย Ran back to where we started in the birds still nothing. 6 other capts in area all zeros nothing.ย Water temperature crashed iover night fishing days a bust.ย My trips are 4 hours once you leave the dock on half days.ย This day I cancelled my afternoon charter because of poor conditions in the morning on this charter. You could have stayed out there 12 hours and it wouldnโt have mattered that day ! So far as engaging goes 2 of your group boarded the boat hardly spoke and fell out in the cabin asleep for 4 hours looked very hungover.ย Never moved.ย Letโs touch on the subject of illegal activity howโs that possible when fishing was horrible and out of 7 boats on the water 1 fish was caught. What was I guilty of trying to many locations hoping for a miracle ona poor fishing day!
