The lower equipment rating is because the boat is older and not luxurious.  However, the fishing equipment is new and in good condition.  Travis loves fishing and knows a lot about it.  He made the trip enjoyable for even the non-fishers on the trip.  The only thing I’d do differently is stay in a place that has a kitchen so we could cook anything we keep.  ( His wife runs a short term rental place).

From the moment we booked with Reel Life Charters, to meeting Captain Gary at the flag pole, to boarding the immaculate Pursuit vessel, to our palms burning from the reels buzzing, to the excitement of netting and pulling in big Chinook salmon…..this trip was the experience of a lifetime. Words can’t describe the rush of catching a big Pacific Chinook and acrobatic Coho salmon….and these guys at Reel Life Charters make you feel like a pro and help with every aspect of the day.
Our guide Captain Gary was knowledgeable about the area and local wildlife species and shared some amazing local stories.
Booking was smooth and easy, and the vessel was comfortable, clean and fast.

This was a bucket list experience for my family and I and we are so glad we booked with Reel Life Charters, as the day was more than perfect. I’ll lever forget it and I 100% recommend them and this experience as a must do!

What an experience, I’ve been on fishing charters before but this was the first time bringing my family.  Wife and 3 younger children (under 10).  Both days the captains were unbelievable, patient with the kids, very energetic and excited for them when fish got hooked on and these guides know where the fish are let me tell you.  It was amazing it’s all about “bonking”fish as they say, and that’s what we did.  Couldn’t have asked for more and will be booking Reel Life Charters when we come back to the area again

It was the first time fishing for me and my daughter, but my husband, in his youth, had gone many times with his grandfather. He really appreciated that for our first fishing experience, he did not have to do anything since our guide took care of it all! Jerry was personable, knowledgeable, and easy-going. It was a cloudy, chilly August morning (although, thankfully, it cleared up during the last hour or so) and not many fish were biting. It was quite the experience to reel in a few, even if they were too small and had to be thrown back. We ended the day with one good-sized Chinook, which made us very happy. We really appreciated that he gutted and cleaned it for us. I loved having fresh-caught salmon; baked some and even enjoyed some as sashimi! I am grateful for this experience and am already planning to go again some day soon! Thank you for providing a great trip!

It was awesome. Boat was awesome and Travis was awesome, too! First time fishing offshore and it was a blast!
