wow!  we caught a ton of perxh and bass!  we were four older ladies and he made us feel welcome and yaken care of!

he was on time.  put us on a tin of fish.  the boat was a great size - plenty of room.

then he was kind enough to take us to the ataye park part od the lake.  we saw beautiful scenery and deer swimming.  he was even kind enough to shownus how to catch bait fish!

one final note to show what a great guy he is… he called a day or so before to recommned we go out earlier as the fishing would be better.  and it was!!

i have already rebooked with Captain Justin formout next trip.

Capt Justin is the best!  I wanted to learn how to catch bait, where to look for bait fish, how to throw the net, etc., and he spent the time to teach me everything I need to know to get started.  We also caught fish and just had a great time on the water.  He’s 100% focused on what you want to get out of the trip, and and he’s just a great guy to interact with.  This was my 2nd trip with him, and we didn’t catch as many fish (in early Sept-hard time) as we did in May (almost every cast!), but it was still really fun.  I will absolutely book with him again!

Me and the 4 kids went out for a day on the lake to catch some fish.  I am so happy we did, and I am even happier we found Captain Justin and Fishers Of Men Guide Service.  He was great with the kids (ages 9,8,3,3), and he knew how to keep them interested and engaged for the 4 hours we were on the water.  Of course we caught loads of fish, but the kids also had a chance to explore a small beach to break up the day.  We brought the fish back home and grilled them on the Blackstone later that night, following Capt. Justin’s recipe.  It was a great afternoon, and I’m grateful for the chance to meet Justin - he is a great guide and a blessed man.

Where do I even begin with Captain Justin and his charter?

It was my birthday, and the only day I’ve been looking forward to all year. From the time I confirmed the trip, Captain Justin was extremely timely with his communication. He texted me days before and the morning of the charter to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable trip.

He loaded his boat onto the water early, and we started our trip right on time. From the onset, Captain Justin was extremely friendly, personable, and imparted great fishing tidbits to my girlfriend and I.

His boat was decked out with 6+ rods, an insanely huge livewell, and great technology, all aimed at constantly putting us on the fish. It was not long before we began to hook up, and hook up big time!!!!

My girlfriend and I caught MULTIPLE FISH EACH, including a 4LB PB spotted bass and an 11LB PB CATFISH!!!!!! We were insanely stoked on the catches. Captain Justin took our pictures for us and got right back to baiting lines to get more fish! He advised us on the best sizes of fish for eating, and the best to throw back to let live another day and repopulate the Lake.

Captain Justin told us tales of some of the great people he’s taken fishing, and while we were at our last spot of the day, the Captain filleted all of our catches and sent us home with bags of fresh fish!

We loved the trip so much, that we asked the Captain to send us the fishing shirts of his business that he was wearing, and of course he did!

I COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER DAY, I DON’T THINK ANYONE COULD HAVE! We were so blessed to have been with Captain Justin.

If you’re thinking of going fishing on Lake Norman, Captain Justin is your guy hands down!!!!! <3

I highly recommend Captain Justin. We went out on a colder morning on 11/14/2025.  Captain Justin told us not to worry and he was right. He put us on the fish for the better part of the morning. Two of us pulled in a lot of fish, as we even stopped counting.  Just as fun as fishing was hearing the history of Lake Norman and learning quite a bit about the area.  I definitely recommend Captain Justin.
