My 12 year old son & I were very excited to fish with Bill. He called me a day before our trip to recommend fishing Lake Okechobee instead because the fish in Lake Osborne were not active. And the fish in Lake Okechobee were active & biting. We happily went with his recommendation. Well, the fish either were not active or Bill couldn’t find any fish anywhere. My son caught 1 large catfish in the 6 hour trip & that was the only bite all day. Bill did move to different areas of the lake but failed to find any fish. He kept making excuses & said several times how many fish he caught before. That just bothered me more because it just seemed like he was saying we were doing something wrong. I understand you can’t control the fish & sometimes you don’t have a great day on the water. The reason we hired a guide was because we expected him to know the lake, show us where the fish were & help us catch fish. In the end Bill did discount the trip but I felt he should not have charged me anything for the trip except for the gas he used.

Yes, it was a very, very tough day of fishing on the Big O. After 25 years of fishing on Lake Okeechobee I can count on 1 hand the bad days I have had. Unfortunately, that was one of them (a Mother Nature thing). I enjoyed taking you and Charlie out and thought you were both technically very good fisherman.
