From the stand point of someone who has spent years working in the fishing industry myself, I can say I have not worked with a more pleasant, patient, and caring captain! Capt. Buddy is a class act who provides knowledgeable advice and tips to ensure a great trip! He is one of the nicest people you wish to meet as well! Overall one of the best experiences I have had on the water! If you are an experienced fisherman or someone who has never touched a rod, Capt. Buddy is the perfect choice!

Had a great morning fishing the flats, catching fish, and learning techniques with Capt’n Buddy. He did a great job meeting our expectations, finding productive spots, and explaining things along the way.  He clearly knows these waters and worked to make sure each of us (parents and teen son) got on some fish, including a couple sharks and barracuda. Also saw turtles, rays, starfish, and quite a few sharks along the way. Great morning.

We had a great day on the water with Captain Buddy. He was quick to communicate after our booking and made sure he knew what we wanted to fish for. From the first cast on, we were catching fish (mackerel, snapper, blue fish, and a needle fish). Buddy was very friendly and helpful throughout the day. He showed us how to cast and jig depending on what kinds of fish we were after. We would be thrilled to do another trip with Buddy someday soon!

Booked an entire day for my wife and I and told Capt Buddy that the goal was for the wife to catch some BIG FISH….And he delivered !!!!
Capt Buddy had the perfect plan for the Day. starting out with catching snappers for dinner then moving on to the Goliath grouper then onto the Bonefish flats where we caught a nice big bonefish as well as a few other species of fish. Then we moved to the bridge looking for some Tarpon, instead we hooked up onto some HUGE Jacks and Barracudas!!!!
Capt Buddy was Terrific !!  I would highly recommend him, I’ve booked with other supposedly highly regarded guides in the area in the past and they don’t measure up to Capt Buddy. He was very patient with beginners and advanced fisherman !

I’m not sure how to start this review. Captain buddy has been in the business a long time and you can tell he still loves what he is doing. Fishing was a littl slow at times but the fun and thrill of each catch absolutely made the trip worthwhile. Captain Buddy was kind, great with our kids (12 and 11), taught us exactly how to land the fish we were going for, and never once made us feel like he was there to just collect a pay day. The tropical storm changed our initial plans but Captain Buddy was very accommodating to make sure we got our trip in. My kids had such a great time that they are already talking about doing this again and again.  A huge thank you to Captain Buddy for helping make our vacation to the keys this year one we won’t soon forget!  -Hilgenberg Family
