We had the most amazing day ever. We did a full day deep sea fishing yesterday There were only three of us; two experienced anglers and me a total novice. It was only my second time fishing ever. Our captain Guillermo and mate Cesar gave us an experience of a lifetime. Their skill in finding and seeing where the fish were to initially getting them to bite and get them hooked so we could experience the fight made the day fantastic. All three of us caught fish. Three marlins (94” long, 150lbs; 92”, 130lbs, 75”, 80lbs) and one mako shark 45”. I had also hooked another large one but, after quite a fight managed to break fee. What a day! In addition to all the fish caught, we saw many that we couldn’t snag. Also saw many sea turtles of various varieties, various birds and even a whale in the distance. All in all, an exceptional day was had by all of us. Thank you Guillermo and Cesar for a day we will remember for years to come.

Went fishing for Marlin with Pepe’s Fleet Tiger Shark and it was amazing from start to finish.
First the communication with Jose thru the app before our trip was excellent. Very responsive and answered all our questions.
His daughter Georgina met us at the start and end of the trip to make sure everything went as promised.
Our boat captain Guillermo and his grandson Cesar were fantastic. Great guys with tons of fun fish stories. And they knew how to fish.
Throughout our 7 hour trip we saw 15 Marlin sitting on top of the water and coaxed 4 into chasing and biting our lures. We set the hook on 2 and managed to get one in the boat. A 7 footer. The other one that got away was even bigger, giving us an epic 30 minute fight before we lost it.
We also saw a dozen whales, over 40 turtles and 100 dolphins.
Only one other boat got a Marlin that day.
For my money there is no better boat to fish with in Mazatlan. Can’t wait to go back again.

Thank you so much !! See you next year !
Honesty, the issue I see with Mazatlan is that this place has allot of potential for amazing sport fishing but clearly the commercial fishing industry has done a fairly good job of diminishing the fish population.
The trip started off pretty slow but because of the expertise and experience of the crew (28 years) we found a few untapped potential spots and ended up coming home with Mahi. This would have never happened without a great crew. We covered 45 miles on water before the Captain decided to deviate and find a few hidden spots to ensure we did not come home empty handed. The boat was in great condition. My father in law, wife and 2 yr old daughter thoroughly enjoyed this trip, albeit it took my daughter a few hours to get her sea legs. Great Job Team!
I hope the local government does more to not only regulate commercial fishing (long lines and nets were prevalent) but also invest in rehabilitation efforts. A small investment can go a long way in making an already beautiful city into the fishing capital of the world for nationals and others who invest in the prosperity of the city. I’m love the fact that Mazatlan is primarily locals which keeps the city, food and culture authentic. Personally, I cannot stand the tourist areas like Cabo which has turned into tourist areas that look and feel the same as any other country.

Captain Guiermo and mate Caesar were fantastic! I had a seven hour trip trolling for sailfish and mahi mahi. Within a few minutes we were hooked up and landed the largest fish of my life. A 90” sailfish about 90 pounds laying in the bottom of the boat. Shortly latter we added another sail around 6’ long. The guys switched baits up and started looking for mahi mahi which we found and managed to land a couple quality fish. Absolutely enjoyable from start to end and I highly recommend for anyone coming to Mazatlan to book a trip with Pepe’s Fleet. I will be doing so on my next visit.

My family and I had a fantastic experience on this fishing excursion. We all caught several fish for the first few hours, then were pleasantly surprised by whale watching and sea turtles. The main event was an unexpected striped Marlin that caught the captain’s eye. His expert knowledge of enticing the big boy with a tasty treat secured a huge catch! My brother’s arms were on fire, but he was able to reel the huge marlin in!
