I want to say thank you to Pepe and all the crew. I know that I was set to do catch and release. So we concentrated on Marlin. We had 5 or 6 in our sights. Unfortunately the three we had did not make it to the boat. In my fishing travels I have never landed a Marlin. I will be back and of course I know who my captain will be. This was our first time fishing for marlin and Pepe hooked us up with great guides who took us out for a successful trip!  Pepe speaks english well and provided personal shuttle service from the Cruise ship terminal to the marina (about a 20-30min) and back which really impressed me that he went out of his way to make sure we could make the most or our time fishing before having to get back to the ship.  The drive through Mazatlan was an adventure in of itself! Hahaha! Once at the marina we met our captain, Ramon, and another crew member, Johnathan. Ramon spoke enough english to communicate with us effectively.  The 28’ Panga was a nice and an adequate vessel for fishing with quality tackle although the seas were a little rough and a larger boat would have made for a smoother ride and provided a little more space for movement but it definitely got the job done safely and swiftly to get us out to the fishing grounds and back which was about 15 miles off shore.  So if you’d like a smoother ride with a few more amenities then you may want to spend a little more to upgrade to a bigger boat. We didn’t mind however. They did provide cold drinks (ice water and beer).  It would have been nice to have a soda option for those that aren’t alcohol drinkers and I’m sure Pepe would have accommodated had I requested but I didn’t think of it before hand. No worries though, we did not go thirsty and that is only a minor detail.  Overall this trip was a trip of a lifetime for us and the crew worked their butts off to get us into fish.  We landed two(one took almost an hour to get in) and had one other hook up but it didn’t stay hooked and also had a couple other followers. I consider that good action for this caliber of fish in my experience so I was absolutely ecstatic that both my sons landed the biggest fish of their lives! FishingBooker helped me find and compare different guide services in the area and helped me select the fishing package that accommodated my budget.  Pepe’s guide service is VERY affordable and I would use them again in a heartbeat. We had a great time fishing with captain David! We caught a lot of different species. Mackerel, red snapper, white snapper, grouper, perch, triggerfish, and more. We even caught two fish at a time! We are all novice fishermen and David took care of us.
Pepe lined up transportation for us and greeted us coming in and welcomed us back after the tour. He runs a great company and would highly recommend him!

Had an amazing day in the sunshine and relatively calm waters. Caught a Mahi mahi and a Sailfish!!! Woot woot. Captain Guillermo was excellent - he was fun and super helpful. The pick up and drop from our hotel was also very convenient and on time.
Only reason I didn’t give excellent - the cash payment required the day of- was not what the balance showing on Fishing Booker. Pepe was insistent that due to “currency exchange” the price was now different… he originally asked for around $80 dollars (USD more) but by showing him and questioning him… he took $25usd more than I was expecting to pay (from the Balance owing when I booked etc.) before we got on the boat.
I wasn’t about to get uncomfortable, or let it ruin our day - so I went with it - but definitely wasn’t impressed…. I know, I know- it’s Mexico…. but…....
Everything else was awesome though - but be aware- the price may change on you…

Pepe’s communication and responsiveness from the start was excellent. Everything he planned for us went smooth. The fishing was incredible we caught more fish than than the boat could hold! Captain Guillermo and first mate Alberto were welcoming and experienced and put us on more fish (and quality fosh!) than we could have ever expected. We will be coming back and fishing with Pepe’s fleet next time on Mazatlan for sure! Highly recommended! Thank you Pepe and crew for an amazing experience!
