We didn’t get anything…even didn’t see any fish. Not sure if the fish finder was working.
Hi. Yes my fish finder was working.. it was one of those fishing days and not catching days I tried my best plus the sudden change in weather had lots to do with it. Sometimes the fish just don’t bite. Especially when a cold front comes in..sorry about that . That day most captains had a bad fishing day.
Friendly and knowledgeable crew, would recommend highly
It was a great say with my son. Caught several fish just wish they were bigger.
Hi wish it was calmer .would have taken you to better fishing grounds. Outside the reef
Crew seemed capable enough. Tangled trolling lines are lot. Was told I would be able to spearfish. No spearfish and caught 3 Marlin baits. Belize is overfished. The fishery needs to be managed better. Shoot, we couldn’t even get a barracuda to bite.
Sorry about the bad luck that day. It was just one of those bad fishing days. We usually catch good fish..they were just not biting that day. But the boys did try.
Not a great experience overall. Boat broke down and I was called at 7:50 saying it they couldn’t make it at 8:09. Rescheduled till 1:00 and promised we would still do the 8 hours and we could fish after dark. Crew didn’t show up until 1:10. Boat had no gps, no fish finder, no radio, etc. Crew were nice but spoke mostly in Spanish unless they were talking to us. Went to other side of reef, crew used a cam shaft as an anchor- not terribly bad but just shows the level of what you are buying. Told we had to get on the other side of the reef before dark because they didn’t know where to cross after dark. Had to look hard to find a place to cross the reef. Crew telling us that fish stop biting after dark as a way for us to say we were ready to come in, which we finally did. Boat has no lights after dark - one small flashlight the mate had to dig out of a bag. Could not find the dock when we came back in because it was dark. Would not recommend- we gave crew a tip just because they filleted the fish - which by the way were meager and few.

HI. I apologize if you did not enjoy your trip. And I also apologize that the control cable broke on our way to pick you up this morning. When we fish outside the reef we are not allowed to use hook anchors because it breaks up the reef. That is why we use heavy weights instead, that was the reason for the crank shaft. The boat is equipped with an English anchor. Here on the island all the captains communicate by cell phone which we had 2 on board. We had to come in before dark because the channels are not marked, not because we don’t know our way around. My captains are all locals that grew up in these waters and know their way around. We always try our best. But regardless I am sorry you did not find your trip enjoyable. Best regards capt hilly boo
