Shame that the crew couldn’t speak English. Too much time spent trying to get to a snorkeling spot. In the end told them to give up. Shame the fishing wasn’t up to much the day we went but the crew worked really hard trying to chase the fish

The boat crew made the best of a quiet day. No big catches but we jigged and caught a lots of small stuff. Cheerful crew and very friendly

I can’t say enough good things about our private all-day game fishing trip with Funthaisea that we’d booked for 3 guests in April 2023!  Communications with Capt. Sergei were timely answered with concise, useful information.  Add-on roundtrip transportation from Patong Beach hotel to Chalong was reasonably priced and on time as scheduled, with a personable driver who even arrived early.

The trip couldn’t have gone more smoothly.  After steaming out from Chalong Pier, although it was slow at first during the initial trolling, the crew put us on some fish in the late morning.  Once we ran into a couple schools of tuna, then it was nonstop action for nearly a couple hours.  Lunch was prepared onboard and included both cooked tuna that we’d just caught as well as fresh tuna sashimi.  While the crew was cooking up lunch, we had opportunity to swim and snorkel.  By end of day, as we steamed back to Chalong Pier, our catch added up to a whopping 30 tuna, not bad for 3 guys on their first private fishing trip in Phuket!

Our ride back to Patong Beach was on time, and our driver was already waiting for us as we deboarded at the pier.  We all had a wonderful time and will be booking Funthaisea again for our Phuket trip next year.  Thank you, Capt. Sergei, for such a wonderful time!
