My buddies and I recently had an incredible fishing trip with Fishin Addiction Charters in Galveston, and it was an experience we won’t forget! Captain Saul and his first mate Rick were not only skilled at their craft but also made the entire trip enjoyable with their humor and friendly personalities.

We started the day targeting reds and sheepshead, though we began by catching smaller fish like Croaker and ladyfish. Despite not hitting our initial targets right away, every catch was celebrated, and Captain Saul assured us that these smaller fish would come in handy as bait later on.

As the day progressed, we ventured into deeper waters where the real action began. We had several big bites, including one memorable fight with a Black Tip Shark that tested our skills and strength. Though we didn’t haul in a boatload of fish (Apparently nobody on the water had much luck.I go back to Galveston and spoke with a few local bait and tackle shops and they all said the same thing about our specific day), it was the thrill of the chase and the adrenaline rush of reeling in the shark that made the trip extraordinary.

Special mention goes to the crew for helping us preserve the memory by allowing us to take home the jaws of the shark as a trophy. It’s these personal touches and unforgettable moments that set Fishin Addiction Charters apart.

The captain may be young but he doesn’t lack experience he had us on the fish catching big reds one after the other way before other boats started to arrive..by then it was to late for them we were in the sweet spot..other boats basically sat and watched us bring them in..the crew was friendly and professional and took care of all our needs promptly..I enjoyed catching the fish but it was cool talking smack to the other boats watching us catch em..I would recommend this trip with these guys to anyone interested in going..I know who I will be calling if we decide to go again.. thanks fellas

We do a lot of boat charters when we travel and this is one of the best ones we have seen (without spending thousands of dollars and going deep sea). The captain and mate were so much fun and they clearly knew and loved what they were doing. We started the day catching enough to fill our fridge, then we went for and caught a jack C to use for bait. Then we went trolling for sharks and caught 2 (which we, if course, released). We ended up running over time because the second one took forever to reel in - and the guys were so accommodating and great.

The boat was super and had plenty of muscle to navigate the windy Galveston area without anyone feeling unsafe or getting sick. It was perfect for fishing. The only caveat is that if you are looking to lounge around (which I sometimes like to just ride along while my family fishes) then you need to check ahead and be sure they put you on a boat with accommodating seating - this one didn’t have seating for that. But if you want to fish, this is the boat for you - clean and uncluttered for when you need to walk and reel in those big ones.

Oh - I almost forgot the dolphins… they LOVE to follow around the fishing boats. We saw over 50. Forget the dolphin tours - go fishing!
