This was clearly not the boat we thought we booked in the Fishing Booker listing.  We had a party of 10 and were looking for boat where we would be the only ones - or at least the large majority - on board for a more intimate experience.  The listing in Fishing Booker was titled “Calabash Fishing Fleet – Miss Calabash” and the description read “For those that enjoy a smaller group charter, this is a fishing trip geared for you! 7-15 passengers max on the boat simply means more action and less tangled fishing lines.”  However, when we arrived at the dock for check-in, we were put on the much larger boat, “Navigator”, with at least 21 total passengers (and room for more). 

It was not the trip we thought we signed up for. Beware.

One more note…in the email from the charter the night before we were told “We have snacks and drinks on board, however you are welcome to bring 6 pack coolers as well!”  As it turned out, the snacks and drinks were for sale - not included in our (large) charter fees.  While the message was not wrong, it also was misleading.  With several of us seasick, some nice cold water and light snack would have been nice.  My suggestion:  bring your own food and drink

We scheduled a trip as a memorial as well as a fishing trip.  Dylan was extremely helpful snd knowledgeable and so much fun.  Really made everyone comfortable and was so accommodating.  Definitely recommend!!!!  .

I really enjoyed everything. Overall we got a call two hours before saying the one boat we have booked for two weeks before our trip was not working so they were able to fit us on the navigator!! I’m kind of glad because I got sick the whole time i was on the boat!! my boyfriend caught only 12 sea bass and i only caught 3 nothing was big enough to keep bit we had fun other then me getting sick alot off the side of the boat… everyone was very friendly, and the whole trip was wonderful!!  would recommend for anyone !!

We had a great time! Austin was a great help! We started with a broken reel and got our lines tangled a couple times but he was quick to get us fixed and back to fishing. Our party caught quite a few sea bass but they were all too small to keep. Only “complaints” would be that there were too many people on board which limited the space we had for fishing (and caused us to get tangled with others) and the restrooms were filthy and without working sinks. The overall trip was fun. We would definitely do it again if in the area.

We went out 7-8 miles and had a great experience. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 of us got sea sick once the boat stopped to fish! But our grandson didn’t and caught 5 sea bass and a sea robin so he had a great time. Tripp was a great help to everyone and knew everyone by name! Would do this trip again (only with dramamine this time LOL)
