Seas were a little rough but Captain and mate got us on fish, 5 Mahi, 3 nice Wahoo and to top things off we caught and released a nice Sailfish. was a greatt day on the water
Captain Kai did a fantastic job working the Fads. With the expert deck hands - Luca and Zach - we had very little to do except get in the fighting chair and REEL. We caught Wahoo, several HUGE Mahi Mahi, and a sailfish - definitely the highlight of our trip! We got to take some back to our condo to make ceviche and cook - DELICIOUS!! Zach did a nice job keeping the boat clean and the bait ready. The boat was SO nice and clean, especially the inside AC when we had short breaks between bites. I would recommend the Lucky Penny and crew!
had a 5 hour trip on Lucky Penny on the 19th of December 2025 7am - 12 PM with my son and grandson . Daniel the skipper and Kia the crewman were great , they new where to go to get on the fish and i soon had a King fish in the box, not to long after my grandson OLLIE was into a King fish of his own and after a good scrap it was in the box too. My son Will had the next one a short time later. It went quiet for a while so Daniel moved further up the coast where Ollie hooked into a bigger fish a much stronger fighting fish that he managed to get to the stern of the boat before it rolled several times and snapping off the steel leader !, not long after that we had another savage take on a lure which snapped one of the triple hooks. All in all a great morning on Lucky Penny and we can’t wait to come back and book another trip.
we had a great trip,captain and crew knew there water well. both cool and really freindly.😎. their experience guaranteed fish to the boat. We all caught well, mahi mahi and plenty of ba.rracuda.Fish filleted by the captain, and we ate the freashest fish dinner ever. We 100% highly reccomended the Lucky Penny and its crew. we'll be back.
first catch was a nice size wahoo, and then the second was BLUE MARLIN!! crew was unbelievably awesome!! highly recommend Lucky Penny!! Thank you Captain Daniel, Brandon and especially Kai for helping us land this massive bucket list marlin!! Worth every penny!!
8 hours offshore. Started slow but Capt. Danny covered water until he put us on the fish. Mahi, Barracuda and a really nice Sail that fought like a demon. Captain and his crew Randy and Kai were great all day. My wife and I had an amazing time on the water and came back with plenty of fish for ceviche and the bbq. Also a bonus on an 8 hour trip to have an air conditioned cabin to duck into occasionally on a hot day.
