I highly recommend booking with Jason. He’s super knowledgeable and has a great personality. He was very friendly and easy to talk to and accommodating to anything we wanted to do. We caught plenty of fish to eat and Jason provided us with tons of recommendations on where to take it and get it cooked. We ended up heading to salt cracker fish camp and had a really good meal!
I’ve always wanted to fish while on vacation here in Florida. I booked Neptune to take me to the good spots and I was NOT disappointed!!! Captain gave me a quick run down and we were headed out. We arrived at one of his spots and as soon as my line hit the water I got a bite! We fished there for a while and got enough for a couple meals then headed to another one of his spots for some bigger fish. I wasn’t able to land a Tarpon but I sure did see them breaking water all around us. I highly recommend! Definitely a 10 out of 10 and look forward to booking with Captain Jason again!
Our family had an outstanding experience with Neptune Fishing Charters. We were simply hoping to enjoy some time on the water and catch a few strong, exciting fish—but Jason exceeded all expectations. From the moment we started, the action was nonstop. Nearly every time we reeled in a fish, another line was ready to go, and we were hooking into fish again almost immediately. We caught an impressive variety, including hogfish, sheepshead, lizardfish, and grunt, and were even able to keep 20 fish. Jason was an exceptional captain whose top priority was ensuring we had the best possible experience. Whenever the bite slowed, he quickly repositioned the boat, and the difference was immediate—we were back to catching fish at a rapid pace. As a Clearwater native, his knowledge of the local waters and species was evident throughout the trip. He was also fantastic with our youngest son, who has limited saltwater fishing experience. Jason was patient, attentive, and encouraging, teaching him techniques and keeping him engaged the entire time. He stayed one step ahead of everything—whenever bait came off a hook, he was already prepared with more. This was truly our best family fishing excursion, and we look forward to booking with Neptune Fishing Charters again in the future.
I absolutely can not say enough good things about Captain Jason. He's a true professional. I booked the trip hoping my son would have a great experience. Captain Jason did not disappoint. I completely understand they call it "fishing" and not "catching" but Captain Jason did everything he could to make sure we caught fish. We actually lost count...true story. He explained everything to my son and knew the names of the different species we brought onto the boat. I highly recommend Neptune Fishing Charters. Do it right, go with the professional. my son grandson and I had a great day out on the water with Jason. He was a great instructor even though one of us in the group kept reverting to thinking we were catching smallmouth bass in the St. Lawrence river 😳 He had us on fish all day, and we caught many different species and enough sheep’s head and grunts to have a tremendous lunch at a local restaurant he referred us to after our outing Would highly recommend Neptune and Captain Jason if you’re considering fishing in the Clearwater area. If we find ourselves back in the Clearwater area, we will indeed contact Captain Jason
We had an awesome fishing trip with Captain Jason! I took my 10-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son, and he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable with them. We caught some great fish — flounder and sheepshead — and he did a great job teaching the kids along the way. We even hooked a shark, but it got away, which made it even more exciting for the kids. The highlight was having fish tacos for lunch made from the fish we caught that morning. Such a cool experience and a really memorable day for our family. Highly recommend Captain Jason if you’re looking for a fun and successful fishing trip!
