Grand Traverse Bay Trip2 adults

I fished with Jim and first mate, Landan on a half day trip out of Elk Rapids targeting king salmon. My goal was to hone my skills as a fisherman by learning tips and techniques from the experts who do this every day. The boat and equipment are top notch, and I was impressed with their knowledge of the Grand Traverse Bay fishery as well. Overall, a great trip, in a great boat with a couple of great guys / fisherman. I learned some things about the area, methods, gadgets, and OBTW we caught some nice fish as well. I highly recommend fishing with Jim charters and look forward to another outing targeting different species with both Jim and Landan.

    Jim took my son and two friends on an afternoon trip and they had a great day. They caught fish, which was great, but they enjoyed themselves and Jim and said they would have had a great time even if they didnt catch fish!

    We had a great day with Jim and Landon! They were so patient and kind with my 10 year old who was eager but timid! Also.. caught lots of fish! They cut some and suggested we take it right to Apache Trout Grill in Traverse who prepared it for us!

    Jim and Landon are great, very enjoyable to be with out on the bay. We had a blast and got some nice fish for the barbecue. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't have a good time, these guys really know what they are doing.

    captain made the best of a bad situation. canadian fire smoke tried to ruin trip, but Jim made the best of the situation. still landed some big fish. very happy.
