Great day fishing in this paradise

The captain, crew, and naturalist on the Coyote got along well together and with us, they are friendly, skilled, and informative. On the way out to the spot, the naturalist pointed out all kinds of wildlife and geological features along the way, like mobula rays, tortoises, birds and erosion patterns of different kinds of rock. We went on the “Pesca Chica” trip but the 6 wahoo my friend and I caught were not small at all. We ate our fill of Galapagos-style Wahoo Sashimi and the pack lunch was tasty too. If I get to be on their boat in future, I might see if I can request my pack lunch to be the same as the crew were having, which appeared to be breakfast with rice and and an egg. It looked really good.

Since I was a boy in Montana I dreamt of catching 1 marlin. It was a romantic dream of the sea. After a few tries around the world I'd caught wahoo, mahi mahi and many fish, but never a marlin. One day with Cpt Francis and I caught 8, landed 5, the last one being 4 meters, 280 kg! Wow a 600+ lb fish, over 3000 lbs of marlin for the day. What a great experience with Francis & Co. Oh, sheesh, I'll try to add the photos, but the big fish rose 7 or 8 times, dancing across the ocean over and over again. It was truly the classic image of the great bill fish.
