We had an awesome Peacock bass fishing trip in South Florida with Jake today! He was extremely professional, very knowledgeable about the area and the fish, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. What really stood out was how great he was with the kids — super patient, friendly, and made sure they had a blast the whole time. Very nice afternoon trip for the four of us. Owner picked us up at the bait shop in his truck.  You purchase your own shiners for bait, guide provides a cooler with aeration for the minnows. Tackle was hooks, and spinning rods provided for you by the guide.  Drove us to several spots and shore fished, free-lining shiners.  Caught 30+ in 4 hour trip, I’d guess.  Mix of Peacock Bass, Largemouth, and a few Mayan Cichlids. Zach was great! I came into town for work with only a few hours of free time. I’ve always wanted to catch a peacock bass. I lost count but I think we caught 7 peacocks, 3 large mouth, and a siclid in 2 hours. I lost probably another 5-7 peacocks. I will be coming back and taking my son as soon as I can.
