  Half Day Trip – Inshore Morning on June 25, 2026 • 3 adults

  Anybody that fishes knows that you can’t always control the bite, so it really helps to have somebody that really knows what they’re doing to give you your best shot. We caught some nice trout, then some good sized redfish, and my daughter hooked into a massive ray. While the ray wasn’t really what we were after, I’m sure my 13 year-old daughter will carry that memory forever and that by itself is totally worth the trip.  Joshua went out and caught bait himself before the charter started and was at the dock early. He also worked his butt off to help keep our lines in the water and gave really great instruction on the best way to hook up to the different fish once the bite started. Great guy and I hope to be able to fish on his boat again someday.

  6 year olds birthday trip come true!

  Half Day Trip – Inshore Morning on June 17, 2026

  We booked with Capt. Josh for our 6 year old’s birthday, his first charter ever & he absolutely loved it! Capt. Josh started the day off with a bang at the dock, my son caught his first grouper! The wind wasn’t exactly what we all hoped, but still manageable & Capt. Josh knows all spots to keep tucked out of the wind where the bite was still on! Josh makes everything so fun for kids and keeps everything ready to go for them at all times, he teaches the kids all the best techniques and makes it the most memorable day! My husband even had a great time and hooked up with plenty of nice fish! He enjoyed talking to Capt. Josh and even made friends with him! He is very friendly and knowledgeable. A quote from a text from My husband when I asked how the day was going on the water… his response - “A dream come true.” Thank you so much Capt. Josh at Fishhawg fishing charters for making such a special core memory for our family! We will definitely be return customers!

  Perfect Family Fishing Experience – Highly Recommend!

  We had an amazing experience with Captain Joshua! He took my husband, son, and dad out about 3 miles off the coast of St. Pete Beach, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. They were catching fish on nearly every cast, which made it so much fun for everyone. Captain Joshua was fantastic with my son—patient, encouraging, and really made it a memorable experience for him. He was also incredibly helpful, kind, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing out there. If you’re looking for a great fishing trip, I highly recommend Captain Joshua. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!

  I wanted a good experience for my two grandsons who are new to offshore fishing and Joshua did not disappoint. He was very patient and helpful with the kids in learning the correct way to handle a fishing reel and how to react when they got fish on. The positive vibe Joshua had kept the kids confident and focused on the task at hand, even when bringing a shark onto the boat. Joshua is very patient and informative, I highly recommend for new anglers as well as the seasoned veterans! The kids and I are looking forward to getting on the water with Joshua again.

  Half Day Trip – Inshore Morning on April 5, 2026 • 2 adults

  This trip was perfect. The boat and captain were great. We went off shore about 4 miles and caught fish immediately. We caught mackerel and king fish at the fist spot. We could have kept fishing in this spot but we already had caught several and had plenty to eat. We caught trout at another spot we stopped and got to see dolphins. We highly recommend this company!!
