John was a good guy and he tried a lot of spots with no luck. My only “complaint” for lack of a better term is we were gonna catch them drifting sand worms and blood worms or we weren’t going to catch them (contrary to their add that says they’ll use whatever technique is working). I feel like a top flight captain and boat have contingency plans when something isn’t working and even if you don’t catch fish you can learn a lot. It was a nice day on the water with family and a nice captain but not a great fishing experience.

Thank you for your review. Trolling tube/worms and fishing different spots has been the most effective method so far this year. Unfortunately the fishing was slow, I talked to 3 other charter captians and no fish were caught. Hope you have a good rest of your vacation in Maine, enjoyed having your family aboard on a beautiful day.

    One Happy Birthday Crew!

    We had an awesome time celebrating my son’s birthday! It was me and three 16-year-old boys, and our captain definitely earned a little extra credit for surviving the teenage commentary all day! He worked hard to make sure we caught fish, was accommodating, and never made us feel rushed or pressured by time. He was laid back, easy to talk to, and made the whole trip fun and relaxing. We’ll definitely be booking with him again, hopefully later this summer. Thanks for helping make my son’s birthday a memorable one!

    Great trip without fish!

    We had a great day on the water. Jonathan worked his butt off to get us on fish. Unfortunately the fish had other plans. He was super helpful with our 7 year old and fished longer than planned to try to bring one in. If you are in the area I highly recommend booking with him. We had a great experience and any day on the water, even without catching fish, is better than going to work.

    Captain Jonathan made the most of a trip when the fish weren't biting. Super fun trip and great conversation. He knows the area well and could not have been nicer. Highly recommend.

    Captain Jon was fantastic. He was personable and worked really hard to put us on fish. Had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon on the water. Will definitely be booking with him again next time we are in Maine.
