took my son out fishing and we had a great time. Alonso was very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. caught lots of fish! will use again.
My family had the most epic chartered fishing trip ever. Captain Alfonso was very patient and informative to ensure we had a good time and would be successful catching fish. We caught our limit of huge Chinook salmon within 2 hours, including a 79cm beast that just made the size limit cutoff! Afterwards, I asked if my kids could reel in some fish and he took us to another spot to look for Coho salmon and rockfish. My 9 year old son reeled in two enormous rockfish and was absolutely pumped. What impressed me the most about this trip was how professional and experienced Captain Alfonso was. I was a bit nervous about his young age but he was able to multi-task remarkably as a single person. He monitored the fish finder, adjusted the depth of the lures frequently, watched the rods for the bite, set the hooks on the salmon, coached me through when to let the salmon run and when to reel, and ensured the boat was always a safe distance away from other fishing boats. Other fishing guides on the water kept noticing that we were the only ones catching fish and that is because Alfonso was working his tail off to catch fish. Thank you Alfonso for the epic trip and for our first salmon!
What an experience, WOW!!! Captain Alonso knew exactly where the big fish were. He's a very knowledge, super cool guide! In just a short time we were trolling through massive bait balls catching large spring's. "After maxing out our limit", we switched to Coho and enjoyed catching them for the rest of the charter. We spent 4hrs on the boat with Capt Alonso. He was super helpful. Neither of us are experienced anglers. We caught an 88cm / 16lbs Chinook salmon on the day that size limits were relaxed so this was the highlight of the day.
My wife and I had a great trip with Un-Reel Charters. Captain Alonso was waiting at the dock for us and in no time at all we were fishing. The captain was knowledgeable and efficient, kept the boat spotless, and was a pleasure to spend time with over the four hour trip. We saw orcas and bald eagles and did we catch fish! My first time salmon fishing created memories I will cherish.
