It was refreshing to find a guide that is laid back and cares about catching fish or what you want. Jared put us on the fish when others around us were not catching anything. He was Very helpful and insightful and wanted to accomplish what you wanted to do. I Would recommend anyone to book with Jared
We have used fishing guides in the past and have always had a great experience but this one with Captain Huffman beats them all! He pivoted on us and asked if we wanted to go try and catch Kingfish for our first stop. We were on them immediately and caught 4 within 45 minutes. After that we headed inshore and went after Redfish. Although we caught several there was only one keeper. Captain Huffman was a wonderful host and worked very well with our kids. He also made you feel like you were a close friend. He was always interacting with us and made the whole day fun. I can honestly say that we will be looking for Captain Huffman every time we visit South Texas for a fishing trip. Thank you for the memories!
2 great days of fishing with Jared. He's very accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful with putting us on fish. One five hour trip with just my son's included 5 fish in the cooler and several undersize released. The following day was with our wives (they have only small fish experience), wow, Jared had put us on the fish right off the bat, within 5 minutes my daughter in law caught her largest fish ever. Several fish later my wife caught her biggest fish ever as well. This day was a memory maker for all of us. Two day totals for our dinner table was 6 reds, 3 trout, 1 mangrove snapper, 1 gaftop, A 22 inch trout was landed and released as well. We highly recommend fishing with Jared!
First, Jared was a very good guide and went out of his way to put us in spots to catch fish; however, the fish just were not biting as expected. caught first Red with 20 minutes of casting and we expected this would be a great day if fishing, but for the remainder of our trip we only caught 1 more Red that we could keep. we did catch a few little Reds and catfish that had to be let go. Jared took us to multiple areas trying to get us more but it just wasn't happening. Jared was very talkative and explained everything to us. However, even with the limited fish we caught, I would recommend Jared as a guide for others.
Captain Huffman had the best personality, very easy to carry conversations with, had some good laughs. Shared his knowledge of fishing, explained what he looks for on the surface. Took us to multiple spots to fish. We were after red drum and were successful! His enthusiasm in seeing the catch made it more exciting. Had the best time regardless of mother nature rain catching up to us early. We will 100% be back! Don’t hesitate to book with him. Just do it! ☺️
We had a GREAT experience fishing with Jared! He knows the best spots to get on some fish (even in the worst of conditions)! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, professional & personable.
