My 9-year-old son and I had a fantastic fishing trip with Captain Merrick in Clearwater yesterday. It was really hot, but he went out of his way to keep us comfortable with drinks, shade, and care especially with my son. We caught a ton of fish including grunt, grouper, trout, and a shark. Captain Merrick put us on fish all day and made it a fun, memorable experience. We would definitely fish with him again next time we’re in Clearwater. Highly recommend!

    We had an excellent fishing trip and couldn’t have asked for a better captain! He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. He knew exactly where to go to find fish and was always willing to help with baiting hooks, untangling lines, and sharing tips. His friendly attitude and patience made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. You can tell he truly loves what he does and wants his guests to have a successful day on the water. We caught plenty of fish, made great memories, and would definitely book another trip with him. Highly recommend!

    Last second decision to book on a holiday weekend and Merrick came through for the win. -Introduction to boat 10/10 -On time to dock (actually early!) 10/10 -Great, clean,well maintaned boat 10/10 -well thought of plan fo half day 10/10 -clean equipment and well stocked 10/10 -knowledge of marine life is huge! 10/10 -knows the waters and spots 10/10 -music play list 10/10. Chill -Time well planned 10/10 to allow for as many opportunities to catch as allowable and possible. -Everyone caught fish. 10/10. although bot guaranteed of course we ended up with a phenominal day and have zero regrets other than not booking both day parts. Add all up above and you got a 100 as far as my rating. My young guys still talking about the trip days later. First time meeting Merrick and wont be my last outing. Thanks Bro✌️

    We had a great trip with Captain Merrick! We caught around 30 fish and had a fantastic time on the water. Captain Merrick was very personable, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. In addition to putting us on the fish, he took the time to point out all kinds of sea life along the way, which made the experience even more memorable. His enthusiasm and local knowledge really added to the trip. If you're looking for a fun and successful fishing charter, I highly recommend Captain Merrick. We would definitely book with him again!

    We had an amazing time on our fishing trip! The captain knew exactly where the hot spots were and anchored us in the perfect locations to catch large grouper and redfish. As an added bonus, we caught a blowfish and were lucky enough to see sea turtles and dolphins during the trip! The captain kept us engaged the entire time, interacting with us continuously, sharing his knowledge, and making sure everyone had a great experience. His friendly personality and expertise made the trip even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun, successful, and memorable day on the water!

    Half Day Trip – Shark Fishing! - 1:00 PM • 4 adults

    Had an amazing time out in Clearwater! Captain Merrick picked us up right from our backyard dock, which made the whole experience feel super easy and personalized. We ended up catching three different kinds of fish and even landed 5 sharks — definitely a trip to remember. Everything was smooth, fun, and well-organized, and you can tell he really knows what he’s doing. If you’re looking for a great day on the water, I highly recommend booking with Captain Merrick. Would absolutely do it again!
