  A Fishing Trip My Kids Will Never Forget!

  6 Hour Trip – Salmon & Lake Trout on July 3, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 children

  I recently took my children on a fishing charter with Captain Rob, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Rob was incredibly accommodating, offering flexibility with our departure time and maintaining excellent communication throughout the entire process. Both Rob and his first mate (Matt) were friendly, professional, and absolutely fantastic with my children. Rob was especially patient taking the time to teach them, answer their questions, and help them learn throughout the trip. His enthusiasm and encouragement, made the experience even more exciting for them and kept them engaged the entire time. They were punctual, well prepared, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time on the water. One thing that really stood out was that the Captain cleaned and filleted all of our fish for us to take home afterward. This was a huge help and greatly appreciated. Overall, this was a wonderful family experience, and I would not hesitate to book with Rob again and we are looking forward to trying a different season and fishery. I highly, highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and family, friendly, fishing experience!

  outstanding day on the lake.

  6 Hour Trip – Salmon & Lake Trout on July 14, 2026 • 1 adult

  The day was expected to be the hottest day of the year, reaching in the upper 90s. We decided to get an early start at 5 AM. The weather turned out amazing. With the early start we missed the heat. The salmon were not biting. So we moved to lake trout and caught lots of lake trout, with the largest one just short of eleven pounds. Doubled up at times. Captain Rob and Shaun took great care of me and worked very hard to make it a great day. I highly recommend them.

  We had an incredible time with Rob and his mate Jamie! Rob was Professional, hard-working, and knowledgeable about Lake Champlain and all types of fish. He worked nonstop, switching out the reels and getting us fish on! My boys caught Salmon, HUGE Lake Trout, and Walleye!  Rob made the day educational, teaching the boys how to reel in lake fish successfully.  We had an exceptional day and cant wait to book a spring Salmon trip next year!

  Best Charter ever!!

  6 Hour Trip – Salmon & Lake Trout on July 18, 2026 • 4 adults

  This was our first charter and and it was unforgettable! Capt Rob Thorne and his first Mate Frank were everything we could have asked for!! Super flexible and responsive! Rob had us on fish in less than an hour and they never stopped coming. We landed so many that we had to start throwing them back! Captain Rob is the man and knows his stuff. I look forward to booking our next Charter with Capt Thorne!

  Fantastic fishing!

  6 Hour Trip – Salmon & Lake Trout on June 10, 2026 • 4 adults

  We've never fished Champlain and wanted to hook into lake trout and salmon during our week trip here, trying to figure ot out ourselves would've been impossible. Captain Thorny was fantastic, put is on lakers within 10 minutes, then great fishing the rest of the day. Took us to the special spot for salmon and sure enough, bam, bam bam. Jumping out of the water, great fights, tons of fun. His knowlegde of the lake, the fisheries and its ecosystem was super interesting to hear. Really nice, a pleasure to be on the boat with him and mate Matt. Highly recommended.
