We had a fantastic time with DJ! He knew where to take us to make sure we had a great experience. We caught several fish and made some incredible memories (like catching a surprise stingray that gave my husband a fun fight). Our 6 year old will be talking about this for months !
I wanted to surprise my husband with a fishing trip while in Clearwater for a couple of days. I contacted New Gen Fishing Charters. Landen was so accommodating in helping me make the plans. Captain Danny (DJ) was super great!!!He knew the area well and although it was a little windy, he managed to take us to the best spots!!! He took time in bating hooks and teaching us fishing teqniques…time went by too fast and i cant wait to come back again!!! The Dolphins followed our boat on the way back !!! had a great trip with captain DJ. i went out with my 7yr old, as this was his first fishing trip on a boat. captain DJ was very patient with him and did not make my son or me feel unwelcomed or rushed due to my son's inexperience( i am not super experienced myself). caught several sea trout and a few lady fish but the best part about that trip, was the experience i had with my son. he came home already wanting to go back out on another trip, specifically, with captain DJ. i am very grateful and you will be too if you book with them.

Captain DJ is an all around good dude and really cares about your experience. He will do everything he can to put you on fish and is great at picking the spots if you are targeting specific species. He isn’t overbearing and just lets you do your thing while providing good advice and repurposing rods/rigs in preparation for your next spot. Only thing I wish we did was the 4 hour trip instead of the 2 hour. Would definitely recommend going out with Captain DJ if you get the opportunity.

They were honest about how the fishing has been! I wanted to target Redfish and that’s what we did. They paid attention to the tides and structured our four hour trip around that. So much fun. Fishing was really good. Captain DJ explained the bite, the fight and everything so as to give us the best chance to land as many Reds as possible!
