Full Day Charter Fishing

For me, there is fishing and then there is catching. Sometimes we go out and the fish just don't bite. Thats where the crew and the captain come into play on a whole new level. Fortunately, Capt. Jerry was able to put us on fish. Not the massive fish dreams are made of but we came home happy anyhow. Capt. Jerry is a long time seasoned captain and it was simply a joy to chat with him along the way. He had a way of making us laugh at just stupid stuff which made the trip all that much better. I was fortunate enough to jump on board for one of his monthly free trips he offers to veterans on the islands. To me, that deserves honors in of itself. To watch these men with hard cases of PTSD come alive on the trip was priceless. I've followed the Jovian Lee on Facebook ever since. Know this for certain, you'll have a fantastic time whether the fish are biting or not. Just look at the posts.

    Captains Jerry & Shibu (1st Mate) gifted us memories and fish of a lifetime for my son’s 8th Birthday. Great communication through rescheduling due to potential safety concerns with foul weather conditions. Safety first, which i appreciate with my young child on board. We hooked so many fish & had a blast learning the Aloha spirit and history of Hawaii. If you’re thinking of fishing the Big Island I HIGHLY recommend this crew of experienced gentlemen. Highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Just book it!

    Great crew, super kid friendly

    1/2 Day Charter Fishing • 3 adults • 2 children

    Even with looming weather, the captain waited till they could make a call so it would be safe abd enjoyable for the kiddos. My son got his first yellow tuna and sat with captain Jerry while were trolling peppering him with questions. Jerry didnt mind one bit and made the day a great memory for me and my kids. Highly recommend to anyone looking to charter a kid friendly trip.

    Awesome Charter!!

    Captain Jerry was great!, friendly and knowable.. Tylor was awesome!!! Hi knowledge of Archeology of the big island and the sights to see while on the island made for a great time after the charter was finished! All in all was a great fishing trip, we caught some large MahiMahi and some nice jack tuna as well I highly recommend their charter! By far the best charter I’ve been on And I have been on quite a few If we come back to the big island e we will be chartering with Malama Charters…. Thank you so much Captain Jerry and first master Tylor

    We wanted to catch Mahi Mahi - and was a little late in the season, but Jerry and his mate (I don't know how to spell his name!) were awesome, got us into some, and we hooked and brought back three! I would have been happy with 1. Jerry did a great job cleaning the fish also. HIghly recommend to others.
