  My son and I had an outstanding trip with Captain Jay Raygor and his son, and I can’t recommend Mapalad Fishing Charter highly enough. From the moment we stepped aboard their spacious 29’ Baha Sport Fish, it was clear we were in great hands. The vessel is comfortable, well‑organized, and fully outfitted with quality gear — Okuma rods, reels, tackle, and a great selection of lures, plus downriggers, planer boards, and modern electronics that kept us on fish all day. Captain Jay and his son were friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They shared stories from past trips, offered insight into the Erie fishery, and made the entire experience enjoyable and easygoing. Their professionalism showed in every detail — from coaching us through the action to expertly handling the catch. Everything was bled immediately and kept on ice, and they handled all the cleaning, filleting, and bagging right at the dock. The best part? We hit our limit in just a couple hours. Their experience and skill put us right where we needed to be, and the action never slowed down. If you’re looking for a charter that combines top‑notch equipment, a comfortable boat, and captains who truly care about giving you a great day on the water, Mapalad Fishing Charter is the one. I’ll absolutely be booking again.

  Father's Day Trip

  2026 Half day trip 2-4 person - 3:00 PM on June 20, 2026 • 3 adults

  We were fortunate to have 3 generations of our family fish with Mapalad on Lake Erie. This was the ultimate experience for my 13 year old son and a memorable Father’s Day weekend for all of us. My son came in second with a 23” walleye, second to his uncle’s 28”! We couldn’t have had a more capable captain and first mate. They were very knowledgeable and very personable. I imagine we will make this a yearly tradition with Mapalad!

  Outstanding Fishing Trip with Mapalad!

  My 14 year old son and I truly enjoyed our trip with Mapalad. Incredibly professional and convivial crew had us on fish right away and we limited easily including a few huge ones. The boat was super clean, the equipment top notch, and the attention from the guys ensured an excellent experience. I highly recommend Mapalad- we will be back for sure.

  2026 Half day trip 2-4 person on June 20, 2026

  This first time experience was amazing, thanks to Jay and Brian ! They all caught their limits and had a great time doing it. I especially appreciate Jay helping my husband, who’s 81, keep his footing! Will definitely book with Jay and Brian again.

  Fantastic time fishing with my son for his 14th birthday

  5 Hour evening trip on September 24, 2025 • 2 adults

  Both of us had a fantastic time catching our limit of walleye. Capt. Jay and First Mate Brian are professional, friendly, and very happy to share their knowlege about the lake, the fish that live in it, and how to catch them. We left for home with several large freezer bags filled with fillets and cheeks and made a fantastic meal out of some of it later that evening. We highly recomend booking a trip with Mapalad.
