Lindsey the first mate was engaging, intelligent and nice. She provide good insight into ocean marina life, tourism and life on the bus island. The captain was distant , cold and on his phone not paying attention to the guest. It was all too apparent he wasn’t interested in getting fish rather than just getting the trip done. If available pick another boat.
We were on a shared charter, so unfortunately, my boy and I didn’t hook up anything when it was our turn, but we still had an awesome time and the other people on our trip who we did not know before the trip caught about 160 pound yellowfin tuna. It was freaking awesome, and the captain and the other people were nice enough to share some of the meet with us. Next year I’m booking a private charter. And if you book with these guys ask for Brad. He’s freaking cool, knows where the fish are, and made it a memorable experience for us.. Mahalo Brad and your first mate!

Great day! Captain Momi and her crew (Jimmy & Madison) were wonderful hosts. While waiting for our bite (caught a blue marlin about 2 hours into our trip) we learned SO much about the local marine life, safe fishing practices and concerns local fishers and boaters have. We appreciated the hands on experience and how welcome the crew made us feel. Will recommend to anyone I know going to Kona!

We had a great day out on the water today! Thanks for going above ans beyond and for all the support getting my son into fishing! We had a blast out on the water and although we didn’t catch anything today, we will be back to try again! My son was stoked to see the gear, set up and be out with captain and crew. The boat met us on the dock on time for our 10:30 trip. The earlier group had no bites, so our 5 guests didn’t expect any strikes. Our captain was in communication with other boats & read the signs of a fish grouping, so we caught 2 skipjack tuna. Our deckhand was efficient & excellent, fine experience for a relatively bare bones trip (we bought our own drinks & snacks)

The captain and crew were very nice and informative. They got the gear in the water right when we got out of the marina. The conditions were good but you just have to be at the right place at the right time. Another guest was able to reel in a yellow fin tuna and another bite got off. Luckily they split the fish between all the guests. Made some Tuna tacos when I got home and my wife said it was the best meal of our entire vacation.
