We had a blast! Makobi is already asking to go back next year and has specifically asked for Captain Dustin again.
Well we caught fish but the captain did not have the net ready. We had a plan to try to catch tarpon but no luck. The captain did have nice equipment but no remote for the trolling motor so that was not used at all. The fish finder was not used for fish but only used for depths of water. After our conversation about redfish I was told that the water was warm and fish were full of worms I said it was okay just cut them out while filleting them. But after catching them I was told that all the captains agreed to catch and release them. So our captain only let us take one home to eat. If I would know about this prior to booking I would not have gone. The captains described what to catch but felt like he was more into certain points. We tried to catch mangrove snapper but after trying for a while his reply was that the bigger fish must of been caught earlier in the morning. I just wanted to put fish on the plate after spending $500.00. I will ask the key questions next year and if I show up and the captain does the same thing I will refuse to pay for the services. I think the captains have to keep in mind that how long it takes someone to save up for a good fishing experience after spending that kind of money. Then at the end of fishing he mentioned that we have a plan for next year which I did.
