  Great fishing experience!

  My family had a great time fishing. It was the boy's first time out on the ocean. The captain messaged us the day before our trip and asked if we could push it out a day due to windy weather. That actually worked better for us anyway and as it turned out the water was very calm on the day we went, so we appreciated that attention to the potential comfort/ discomfort of the trip. We caught several blues, a little jack, a mackerel, some sea bass (too small to keep) and several flounder. We saw a big sea turtle and some dolphins too, which was neat. The boat was nice and comfortable. They had big bean bag seats for the ride out and back from the fishing grounds which were great. I would rate it as a 5/5. On the other page I hit 4/5 mainly because they ran out of bait for the flounder, but they did have scented plastics, so maybe it didn't really matter anyway. I'm just used to fishing with plastics and live bait at the same time when jigging for freshwater fish so it seemed strange to me. The captain and first mate were helpful and very personable, trying to engage everyone in conversation, asking about what the boys usually fished for, etc. They let us do as much as we wanted to in terms of baiting, reeling in, taking off the hook, etc, but were there to help if we needed/ wanted them to do any of those things. I appreciated that with 4 of us fishing, they had us using 4 different bait setups even when we were fishing for the same species (flounder for example), to maximize our chances of catching fish. When we first got to the marina the captain asked what we wanted to fish for. My husband said "whatever we can catch" and let them decide what to fish for. They didn't ask again, so in hind sight, I would have spoken up because I really wanted to catch some Mahi Mahi but I didn't know if they were in season and I guess I assumed if they were around we had a shot to catch them with trolling. Can't fault the crew for that though because I didn't specify or ask about it. The crew filleted all our fish out when we got back and we left with 2 gallon bags of fillets (1 gallon of those were flounder and roughly a gallon of blues). I didn't realize blues aren't really the best eating and can be quite strong tasting if the red meat is not removed, so I spent some time the next day taking care of that before freezing them. Minor detail overall because worse case I can probably still smoke them, but it would have been nice for the crew to let us know that and take the red meat off since all I had back at the hotel was a dull serrated knife. That being said, I haven't tasted the blues yet so I can't say for sure how they are. Bottom line, we would definitely book with them again if we get back to Ocean City. Having had a good trip with them, I wouldn't gamble on another charter in the same place personally because you never know. Learning a few things from the trip, I would specify what I wanted to target at the outset and verify if our target fish are good to eat. But again, we just said we wanted to catch fish and we definitely caught fish!

  Great Fishing, Great Crew, and Even Better Family Memories

  We had an awesome time with Coastal Guide Service LLC! Captain Justin and the crew made our 3-hour fishing trip a great experience from start to finish. We caught a nice variety of fish, including bluefish, Spanish mackerel, kingfish, and plenty of flounder. Unfortunately, the flounder weren’t quite big enough to keep, but we had a good time catching them anyway! A big thank you to Captain Justin, First Mate Roman, and Brock. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had a good time on the water. It was a great father-and-sons outing, and most importantly, we made some great memories together.   best trolling experience ever

  our Captain Justin and 1st mate Roman were amazing. Both guys are top notch. very knowledgeable about their craft and very easy to talk to and joke with. we started off trolling, as soon as the first four lines hit the water two fish were on. it stayed that way until we tagged out. constant action, my son and I were never so busy reeling in fish. my son caught and released a rare Angel shark, that was cool. The flounder were biting we were just unable to reel them in. wherever Justin took us the fish were there. in all we came home with 28 Spanish Mackerel, 30 blue fish and 1 cool bullet Mackerel. i totally recommend this charter, we're looking forward to booking with them again.

  Great Trip

  We caught Mahi Mahi, Sea Bass, and some Sea Robins. Crew was helpful and laid back, they made sure we went home with some dinner. Captain made sure we were right on top of fish for easy catching. These guys know what they are doing! We caught a good bit, and had a good time. They even worked around our sea sick friends. Would definitely book again.

  Perfect Sunday morning trip

  We booked a spur of the moment fishing trip. Captain Justin responded quickly and confirmed our trip. It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Justin and Roman were very friendly and helped us fish for flounder in the bay. It was an easy going trip with great views of the bay. I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Justin!
