Great captain, worked hard to get us into fish. We made it clear when we booked that we weren’t interested in pounding out 30 miles for billfish, we just wanted to do inshore for roosters and whatever else he could get us into. And that’s what Piro did. First rooster of my life lived up to the reputation, especially on the light spin tackle. 3 of us all got into large Toros and Bonitos as well and were pretty tired at the end of the trip.

    Tuna Time in Zihua

    Full Day Trip • 1 adult

    had a great day offshore on the Macho Banana today. Caught a bunch of nice Schoolie sized yellowfin tuna. saw some 100+# models as well. captain kept switching techniques as the bite continued to change throughout the day. run and gun type fishing chasing bird schools and boiling tuna. it was a very good time. good equipment and a very knowledgeable captain makes for a good day on the water. if your are ever in Zihua and want to spend some quality time on the big pond look these guys up!

    Temo Charters - Cptn. Margaro

    Full Day Trip • 2 adults

    Great day on the water with Temo Charters and Cptn. Margaro. Left the pier at 6:30am to a beautiful sunrise and calm seas. Margaro wanted to fish for Marlin and who was I to complain? Trolled for bait and then fast trolled to our fishing grounds about 20 miles out. First hit hammered the rod and we thought we had hooked our marlin. Then a monster mahi jumped about 100 yards on the far line. Unfortunately, with his second acrobatic leap 10 feet out of the water, the monster shook his head so hard that he snapped the line. Later in the day we hooked a very nice sailfish and managed to land it after a good fight. We didn't get our marlin, but all in all a great day on the water. Margaro is excellent at rigging his baits and always was attentive and knew what was going on around him. I've fished for years and in a lot of places and would highly recommend Temo Charters and Margaro.

    3/4 Day Trip • 1 adult

    Did a 3/4 day trip with Temo Sportfishing and had a great day on the water. The captain spoke very good English and the mate worked tirelessly to tease fish to the boat so I could cast my fly. My casting was off because I was standing on an open deck in rocking seas. My legs aren’t what they used to be, but we managed to boat a good sized Jack Trevally that kicked my butt. The boat is not really set up for flyfishing , but we managed to have a very pleasant day.
