unforgettable fishing experience with captain Mark

Mid Week Special - Private (PM)2 adults

the forecast was thunderstorm for July 6 2023. we had unbelievable luck for weather and fishing experience with captain Mark. it was just overcast cloudy with nice breeze. after the 3 digits temp since the end of June, the weather was perfect for the outing. my last fishing was about over 20 years on Freeport jetty. captain Mark did all the work, put the shrimp on the hook, casting and fixing all the tangled lines. there was a fish jumped into out boat like 5 minutes after we started the trip. I got a really good size red fish right after, within 30 min I think. my husband got a flounder, many cat fish and croakers. most we released due to the size. the excitement of the fish at the end of the line was running high. one thing we shared with the captain is get the outing during the weekday so you might feel the whole area belongs to you. not too crowded like during the weekend. good luck and enjoy your time with captain Mark.

    Perfect Day on The Water

    My daughter and I had an outstanding morning with Captain Mark. We caught plenty of fish and brought home a nice haul, but what really stood out was that Captain Mark has the heart of a teacher. He was perfect for helping my daughter learn the ropes, even casting out an extra line and handing it to her when he had a fish on. He knew exactly where to go, and we had action right away. My daughter’s very first fish was a 26 lb black drum that she helped fight in, and it’s something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. The great music and jokes between hits kept the energy up the whole trip. Captain Mark had everything set up and ready to go, took plenty of photos of us and our catch throughout the morning, and cleaned our fish at the end. I don’t think I could have asked for more. You won’t regret booking with him.

    Awesome first fishing experience!

    4 Hour – Classroom + Fishing • 2 adults

    Captain Mark is awesome!! We started by spending some time learning the basics of fishing through a really well-put-together slide deck, then headed out to a few different spots to put everything into practice. My wife and I were both first-timers, and he was incredibly patient and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. By the end, he had us feeling comfortable with the basics and, most importantly, we both caught a couple of fish! It was a great experience from start to finish, and we’ll definitely book with Captain Mark again.

    We are a mother and son coming from Istanbul, Turkiye and we had a wonderful time with Captain Mark this morning. The fishing spot, the boat and the total ride were all spectacular. We still cannot believe how many different and huge fish we caught. We are going back home with great memories thanks to him.. He was very helpful with my 14 year old son who loves fishing.     Amazing day and great first inshore experience!

    My wife booked this charter for my birthday and what a treat it was for our first inshore! Captain Mark was the key to it all. He was so knowledgeable but so humble and relatable. You can tell that he does this for the love of everything fishing and not because he has to do it. He was patient and available for all of us, especially our kiddos. He taught us all so much, to the point that our youngest who even struggles with bluegills caught her first fish on this trip 🙌 He also helped me break my bass fishing habits to finally land my first double digit! 🎉 Won't chose or try anyone else when we're back in the area.

    We had a blast with a Captain who loves fishing!

    Captain Mark was great. I wasn't sure what to expect. It was our first outing like this. I think hanging out with Mark, it was very clear that he loves what he does. That love and excitement really helped our whole crew have a blast. We had 5 of us (2 sons: 11 and 14 - they loved it!). Mark was a great communicator. He sent texts outlining his process and location. We put the address in phone and it took us right to his door. We were a little surprised that it was a driveway with a garage... We didn't realize the boat and the lake were in his backyard! Very very cool setup. Mark gave us some basic instructions and helped provide a clear vision of what to expect. Mark is a great teacher! We fished using live shrimp and Mark provided all the gear. Gear and boat were in great shape. We went and caught several fish (i'd guess 20-30). Several different species: Flounder, Red drum (redfish), Black drum, Hardhead catfish, Whiting, Sand trout, speckled trout (spotted sea trout), and even oysters! He ended up with 6 keepers which turned into two large zip locks with filets! Mark was kind throughout and very professional. Great music and jokes! There is definitely a reason he has all 5 star rankings. Great time and would highly recommend. Mark also took great photos for our group.
