Hope Capt Ken is on the mend, we had to reschedule with Clark Moore who was recommended by Capt Ken. We had a GREAT (if not very HOT) day, my wife boated a 5.3 lb largemouth, first time using a bait caster! Capt. Clarke was AWESOME, highly recommend these guys for ANY fishing you want to do on Rayburn!
Awesome experience on Sam Rayburn with Ken. We almost had the 2 person state limit- only 2 fish shy but considering we caught 85 and were able to take 48 home I'm calling that a wonderful time.
Clark Moore took me out as Ken wasn't available. I've fished a lot of other species all over, but never had much experience with Bass in Southern U.S. so this was training for me on baitcasting, Bass baits, and technique. Clark was outstanding and we caught a lot of fish in 5 hrs on several rigs. Today, I was back out on Sam Rayburn myself and caught many more. Great experience! Very highly recommend Clark.
On the morning of June 3, 2022, my son, Logan, and I enjoyed the unique pleasure of celebrating his 21st birthday by joining Captain Kenneth Cates for a morning of bass fishing on Lake Rayburn. Logan and I are novice fishermen at best, yet Ken treated us as though we were seasoned semi-pros who knew the ins-and-outs of experimenting with a wide-array of top-line rods, reels, and interesting looking artificial bait. I must admit that I personally snagged more overhanging tree branches and underwater brush than I did fish. This said, Captain Ken is a consummate professional whose enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and encouragement made for a spectacular morning of fishing and friendship. Fishing turned on first thing in am . It got tougher to connect after around 11 am , Capt ken never gave up and , we covered a lot of different places on the lake . we caught a lot of fish . It was a great experience and would highly recommend and I will go again . I have fished Sam Rayburn a lot in my life and I learned things about lake and different tackle I did not know .
