From beginning to end the captain (Rob) and the first mate (Bill) were exceedingly helpful and truly a pleasure to talk to. After about 30 minutes out through slightly rough seas we arrived at our first location and did a fairly successful drift in which we got a hang of the style of bottom fishing and got to know the target species: black sea bass. However given that we had caught about 20 fish without a keeper in the first 30 minutes we relocated to a nearby wreck and immediately reaped the rewards pulling in tons of larger fish including 5 keepers, and several other species which were out of season. After getting our fill and nearing our limit on the sea bass we switched to trolling and pulled in 7 or 8 nice 22 inch, or so, bonitas. All in all the trip was a blast, the crews stories and company was exciting, the fishing was great, and the vessel was comfortable in the slightly rougher conditions.
