Three of us who have fished together for over 45 years decided to make a trip to Port Mansfield. We have done this many times before however it has been several years. As our luck goes a huge front came in. Our first day was a no go even though Ruben did try to see if we could find fishable waters. Got back to shore safely. Next day we did great with limits of reds and a few trout. Our last day was not as good mainly because of the conditions after a front passing. That is fishing on the lower Laguna Madre. Over all we had a great time. Ruben is a fine fishing guide who works hard. We plan to use him next year if he will put up with us. Even though our last day was slow with several trout we also caught a 22 inch speckled trout that needed to be through back in the water because of the new fishing regulations. That’s fishing.

It wasn't the best weather, but we still caught a ton of really nice size fish. It was a very good experience. Everytime I needed bait Ruben was right there with one. He was very attentive and very easy to talk to.
