Good day fishing…

We had a bit of rougher weather for our ur offshore fishing trip. Wave were 2-3 footers which bounced us around. Had some rain as well. Fishing was lively but we caught a variety and kept several including some nice grunts and a Spanish mackerel. But all the storms and rain last couple days caused the fishing to be slower. But we still caught fish. Red groupers (out of season so toss them back), greys, small lemon shark, and som white puffer fish). JD was great to fish with. Kept eye on weather and explained what fish were were catching and some of his own fishing stories. Would recommend him and will be back next year.

    Amazing Trip!

    We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain J.D.! He put us on fish all day and we caught a ton. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the local fishing spots and conditions, but he's also a great person who genuinely wants his guests to have the best experience possible. Captain J.D. worked hard to make sure we were having a great time from start to finish, and he even cleaned all of our fish afterward, which was greatly appreciated. His professionalism, expertise, and friendly attitude made this one of the best fishing trips we've ever been on. I would highly recommend Captain J.D. to anyone looking for a fantastic fishing experience. We'll definitely be booking another trip the next time we're in town!

    Can’t wait to go again

    Full Day Trip • 2 adults

    Had an incredible charter experience in the Gulf of Mexico. We were on fish all day and brought in an awesome mix – kingfish, lemon shark, grouper, red snapper, porgies, and several other assorted species. The action stayed steady and made for a memorable trip. One of the highlights was seeing porpoises swimming right alongside the boat, which made the experience even more special. Captain JD was outstanding – knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely a great human being. He made sure I was comfortable, having fun, and put me in the best position possible to catch fish. Overall I really enjoyed myself and would absolutely recommend this charter to anyone looking for a great day on the water. Can’t wait to go again.

    So much fun!

    We caught grouper, red and gray snapper, and squirrelfish. We kept the snapper and will have a feast! Captain J.D. was a joy to fish with. He kept everyone's poles baited and in the water. There's a toilet and fridge on board and comfortable seating. The boat is new and in great condition. Captain J.D. is very knowledgeable about the water, sea life, and Longboat Key. Just a really friendly guy. If we come back to this area, we will definitely fish with him again.

    great day w J! fishing was slow in the am but he kept working and put us on some nice sea trout! we also caught spanish mackerel, one catfish & a lady fish. J was super patient and fun to be with. Highly recommend him for your outing.

    fantastic trip

    Had such a great day out fishing with JD, me and my mom both had a blast. We caught tons of fish because he knows all the right spots to go. JD is super fun and funny, really positive the whole time and so easy to chat with. He also took great care of the fish for us and got everything ready so we could cook it up right away. Honestly can’t recommend him enough. We’ll for sure be back!
