Species like Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Pompano, Redfish, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. Depending on the fish you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Mama Tried Fishing are child-friendly, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your excursion begins aboard a 27’6 Robalo center console with 9’6" beam, holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
